WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Designer of Bras, to create seasonal design concepts for Nike Womens Apparel. In this role, you will utilize your outstanding design skills to create original, innovative designs that accurately reflect Nike’s design philosophies and lead the industry. Through consumer connection you will identify leading trends and translate them into meaningful products that resonate with our consumers.

You have a passion for innovation, performance apparel and sport, with a strong aesthetic sense, and experience in sport bras. You have experience in material development, performance technologies, and bra garment build. You are a self-starter, highly motivated with a problem-solving approach, and focused on producing high-quality work on a deadline.

You will bring your design mind, creativity, and technical bra skills to our design community to create compelling sport bra solutions fueled by athlete/consumer insights. You’ll need strong communication skills with teammates across the organization, including active listening, collaborative problem solving, and deep emotional intelligence. The role demands big picture thinking, with regards to product relevance, product positioning, timing and collections. You’ll need to constantly demonstrate process proficiency through standard methodologies, visualization and communication of ideas.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working in a collaborative design community, to create original product designs reflecting Nike's design philosophy. You will lead trend, concept, sketch, and present designs within seasonal collections from initial concept to completion. You’ll execute all product details including construction, form, style, fit, performance, materials, etc. In this role you will work closely with the entire design team to deliver head-to-toe looks that are focused on sport innovation, with a strong eye for style and trend.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This designer will report into a Senior Director, and work alongside a team of designers across multiple women’s sport apparel collections. Additionally, you will partner internally and cross-functionally with our Product Management, Sourcing, Material Development, and Tech Development teams across the organization. The role will have no direct reports.

Design Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5-7 years in Bra Design, ideally with an emphasis on sport performance.

Outstanding ability to apply and perform foundational design skills, including illustrating, creating technical sketches, understanding of pattern making, materials selection, tech pack and BOM creation, etc.

Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends in sport and bra markets.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with well-developed visual presentation skills (3D design knowledge a plus).

Solid knowledge of bra materials, trims, fit, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences.

Proven ability to collaborate across teams.

Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism.

Accustomed to working in a constantly evolving, high growth environment and to lead multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
