ENROLLMENT MARKETING & COMMUNI (BL-SCOM-IUBLA)

Job Summary

Assists in the efforts of the Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) in capturing, editing, and implementing video and photo components that are part of an integrated, strategic marketing plan designed to recruit, enroll, and support students.Works with multimedia producers and social media specialists in the Enrollment Marketing and Communications (EMC) department to plan and continually create new content for stakeholders.Contributes content ideas at weekly meetings and stay up to date on social media trends.Produces engaging short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, and YouTube.Manages the logistics of the filming process, including scheduling other talent if needed, scouting film locations, and planning film equipment needs (DSLR camera, iPad, or phone).Edits short-form video content using video editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express preferred).Collaborates with other members of the EMC team to incorporate videos into other marketing channels such as emails, the website, and other social media channels.Assists in larger photo/video productions by carrying, setting up, and operating equipment.Attends events on-campus and around Bloomington to capture video content.Must be comfortable being on-screen personality when needed.

RequiredCurrently enrolled Indiana University Bloomington student studying in media, communications, or marketing-related programsSKILLS

RequiredAbility to get around campus to record/take photos in various settingsCommunicate effectively and punctuallyExperience using phone or camera equipment to produce high-quality videosKnowledge of video editing software and techniques (Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva preferred)Interview skills are also a plus as you may be asked to conduct on-camera interviews

This is an In-person position.

Work Hours

Hours are flexible and the position is for 10-15 hours per week.
