Department Information

The Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies (HLS) communications team manages all strategic marketing and communications to support the Office of the Dean, the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, and all School units in promoting events and programming.

Job Summary

Provides high quality video and photography to support the Hamilton Lugar School communications team, focused on capturing the student experience.Captures high quality video and photo coverage for events or other initiatives.Downloads, organizes, and labels clips into communications team files so they are available to all.Works closely with social media intern and director of communications to plan needed video/photo coverage for events each week, and to plan the creation of Instagram Reels.Works closely with social media intern to provide video for Instagram Reels according to schedule, aligned with the content plan.Uses video to create Instagram Reels, highlighting experiences unique to Hamilton Lugar School students.Ensures Instagram Reels align with IU brand standards and include any promotional campaign graphics from Hamilton Lugar School communications team.
