SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, BRAND | JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

At Magnolia, the Social Media Manager, Brand is responsible for managing Magnolia's social channels. This position must have a deep understanding of all social media platforms, trends, and analytics, as well as experience in creating innovative social media content, campaigns, and strategies. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing, Digital Media and has supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day management of social channels including content creation, copywriting, community management, and publishing daily content, and managing calendars*Plan, develop, and create social media content and monitor approval process*Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of approved social media content*Pitch creative and innovative content for social media platforms that inspires and builds meaningful connections with our audience, and encourages engagementAnalyze and report on performance across all social media platformsManage and develop direct reportsMonitors and manage social communities including guest facing engagement and commentsCreate content that aligns with brand strategy across media platformsMaintain social media schedule and calendar by account that includes creation and posting timelinesUtilize project management software to track all projects and manage through completionCreate and execute a thorough plan to ensure a robust library of social content consisting of photos and videos*Coordinate with marketing and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across accountsCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure connected story telling through planning and production of contentReport on account performance quarterlyPerform other duties as assigned*Metrics evaluated on Performance Review

Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, trends, and creating content specific to each social platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube) required. Proficiency in social media reporting and analytics required. Experience in Premiere Pro preferred.ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred1-3 years of management experience and/or 5+ years of related work experience or a combination preferredExperience maintaining accounts across a wide range of social media platforms requiredPortfolio requiredRequired to work all Magnolia events; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs requirePHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
