Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications will shape CooperCompanies' corporate communication and global internal communications strategy. This person will help manage junior staff members and be instrumental in driving initiatives that (1) align all divisions (CooperCompanies, CooperVision, CooperSurgical) as OneCooper, (2) demonstrate that Cooper is an Employer of Choice, and (3) demonstrate that Cooper is a good corporate citizen.

Responsibilities

Drive corporate visibility and awareness of the CooperCompanies brand via a comprehensive strategy that includes corporate awards, executive visibility, sponsorships, press releases, etc.Craft CooperCompanies' digital communications strategy, to include website, corporate social media and executive social mediaOversee HR Communications planning and strategy; lead junior staff member in developing effective HR CommunicationsManage the master corporate calendar and editorial calendar to ensure effective and timely communicationsCreate internal communications that effectively engage employees and connect them to CooperCompanies' mission, strategy and performanceSupport the implementation of and successful migration to a OneCooper intranet that serves all 15,000+ Cooper employeesCommunicate on Environmental, Social Responsibility and Governance efforts (ESG), including promoting the Company's significant environmental efforts, and leading corporate philanthropy and community engagement efforts

Partner with IR on the development of the annual ESG report

Collaborate with & supporting our business units (CooperVision and CooperSurgical) with their respective communication efforts; Drive visibility across the business units so that all employees are connected to the missions and work of each unitIdentify opportunities for collaboration between business units to enhance the effectiveness of our business structure and processesSupport crisis management communications as necessaryDesign and execute employee and leadership meetingsSupport corporate giving initiatives and eventually, helping to define a global corporate giving strategyManage and develop junior team membersTravel:

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This highly collaborative leadership position will require significant interpersonal skills, strong writing skills and the ability to work with senior level Executives. The ideal candidate for the position will possess a blend of functional and business experience and will have the following qualifications:

Strategic thinker with track record of developing and executing impactful corporate communications plansExperience working as an effective business partner, as well as a trusted advisor to an executive management team.Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skillsKeenly motivated problem-solver and self-starter who exhibits judgment and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, global, and collaborative corporate environment.Ability to set priorities, organize work and thrive in a high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines.Strong people management skills and the ability to lead both direct and in-direct reports.Excellent consultative and communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees and management.Ability to work seamlessly across functions, divisions and geographiesStrong executive-level presentation skillsMeticulous attention to detailWork Environment:

Due to the heavy interaction with the executive team and other function groups, this position will be based in the Corporate Headquarters in San Ramon, CA and requires 4 days per week onsite.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $ 145,578 and $ 207,969 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
