ACE works at the nexus of youth, media and civic engagement to accelerate our pathway toward a decarbonized world.

We reach tens of millions of people with our programs each year and are driving a new climate narrative to engage audiences that our movement has yet to reach. We utilize leading-edge media strategies to combat dangerous disinformation, drive action-taking, and increase diverse participation in the democratic process.Our staff and board members are dynamic, diverse and talented, and our team is currently growing to meet this critical moment of opportunity.JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Advertising Manager will work to advance the mission of Action for the Climate Emergency (ACE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to educating and activating millions of young people to end the era of fossil fuels, accelerate the deployment of renewable energy, and ultimately avoid the worst impacts of the climate emergency.The scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to: creating and managing digital advertising campaigns across a variety of digital advertising platforms to drive web traffic and conversions; developing ad copy and creative; reviewing paid media data and providing ongoing campaign feedback; implementing optimization strategies and methods.Key Responsibilities:

Digital marketing management (50%)Manage global ad campaigns and amplification of creator and vendor-produced contentRun creator and influencer campaigns to meet country-specific education goalsManage development and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy focused on creating compelling educational video contentDesign and execute multichannel marketing campaigns, including social mediaMonitor and report on campaign performance, making data-drief adjustments as neededProduction management (25%):Manage and collaborate closely with vendors, including individual creators, freelancers, and production houses, to manage the production of educational climate and renewable energy video contentManage budgets ranging from small, individual creator payouts to up to $500,000Ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of all educational content including scripts and videos via content review and quality control checksManage the end-to-end content creation process, from concept development and scripting to production and post-production, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and messagingIdentify and engage with local partners in India, South Africa, and Brazil to tailor content to regional contexts and maximize outreachProgram and staff management (25%):Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and effectiveness of content, iterating and refining strategies as neededCollaborate across teams within ACE ensure the successful execution of projectsStay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in educational media, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into content development effortsOversee the Education Program Coordinator positionMinimum Qualifications:At least 5 years experience running ads in social media channels such as Meta, YouTube and Tiktok, with at least 3 years in an international role, including at least one year of experience in production management, including script review, post-production review, and quality controlExperience in production management of education, science, climate or renewable energy contentGeneral knowledge of climate change and renewable energy and sense of urgency to solve the climate emergency within the next decadeExperience working with international partners and contractors1-3 years of staff management experienceAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFlexible and adaptable mindset and willingness to pivot in response to shifting organizational needs and prioritiesExcellent technological skills or ability to learn: Meta Ads Manager, Tiktok, YouTube, Monday.com, Engaging Networks, Slack, Google Apps, Google Data Studio, and other relevant programs as necessaryExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishAble to travel domestically and internationally as neededAbility to adapt as necessary to fulfill additional roles, responsibilities, and opportunities as necessaryDesired Qualifications:Climate change or renewable energy subject matter expertiseKnowledge of mis- and disinformation tactics used to spread doubt and delay the transition to a renewable energy economyMultilingual in one or more languages of Brazil, South Africa, or IndiaExperience working in a non-profit settingExcitement to bring new ideas to the table and an ability to self-initiate creativity and entrepreneurialismThis description reflects ACE’s assignment of essential functions, it does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Salary will differ from US range, based on CountryThis is a full-time, remote position based in the United States. The Digital Advertising Strategist will work from home, meet regularly by video chat with ACE team members and partners, and conduct the majority of activities both online and in-person, when safe. The Digital Advertising Strategist must be available for travel within the United States, to participate in staff retreats and/or conferences.
