JOB DESCRIPTIONAs the AMR Segment Manager, Oncology Testing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a regional strategy to address this market opportunity and drive successful adoption of our technology in the market. The successful candidate will be accountable for the success of the segment regionally.The candidate will work cross-functionally with the AMR sales team and with global marketing to capture and provide feedback on new market trends, insights and opportunities related to this market.Understanding of the genome of a tumor is pivotal in providing the right triage of care for a cancer patient. Our company's next generation sequencing technology has been foundational in the introduction of fields like comprehensive tumor profiling and liquid biopsy. As the utility of the genome is better understood, this testing will continue to grow in importance and become standard of care for different cancer cases.The role reports to the Director, Segment Marketing AMR.Tasks and Responsibilities:Decide on suitable strategies and objectives focusing on tumor diagnosis, classification and therapy selection.Assume responsibility by developing and controlling activities, deadlines and budgetsUnderstand competitive landscape, market drivers and trends likely to influence adoption within this segmentAssess program performance and aim to maximize ROI and prepare reports for internal stakeholdersWhen required, develop and maintain strong customer connections at various levels in private and academic organizationsBeing able to engage in a collaborative way with international Key Opinion LeadersSupport the development of business plans around new segment applications.Demonstrate command of scientific and technical knowledge on all company's solutions (Arrays and NGS)Deep understanding of regulations in AMRIdentify opportunities for the development of new commercial collateral and toolsMaintain a collaborative and open working relationship with internal, cross-functional colleaguesRepresent the Company professionally, ethically, and morally at all timesTravel to external conferences and customer meetings (up to 25% of time)Preferred Experiential Background:7+ years work experience in Life Sciences / Genomics or Clinical field, including 2+ years in Marketing, advanced degree can substitute for some work experienceProven program management experience in the life science businessProven ability to network at all levels within the customer organizations and in the broader marketplaceSelf-motivated and self-directed individual who enjoys a challenging, relatively unstructured and dynamic work environmentProvide thought leadership in pursuing new and/or unconventional approaches to solve customer challenges, empowering and inspiring others to think and approach challenges in innovative waysDemonstrated experience in successfully presenting complex concepts at all levels of an organizationExperience in developing customer targets and product positioning and messaging across multiple regional marketsAbility to objectively and critically analyze market and customer dynamics to uncover deep, meaningful insightsIdentify change opportunities and develop clear and concise action plans to gain stakeholder commitment and increase followershipAbility to influence people and diverse stakeholder groups within a global, matrixed organizationHigh level of intellectual curiosity and sense of urgencyAll listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.
