Public TrustPosition Summary:The Contractors shall create digital-first videos by integrating strategies, styles, and techniques to optimize social media engagement. Produce and direct short and long-form programming using mixed media - e.g. video, audio, graphics and animation and contribute to social media marketing and distribution. Perform non-linear video editing using professional editing systems and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Create animation and motion graphics using Adobe AfterEffects.The Contractor oversees the development of video content for distribution across all platforms (broadcast/digital/social) and facilitate the appropriate government approvals for distribution.Key Responsibilities:EFP/ENG configurations using professional cameras and kits, interchangeable lenses and tools such as lights, sliders and gimbals to achieve an array of diverse production styles and techniques in challenging environments - e.g. “run & gun” fashion.Craft pitches, scripts, and storyboards that align with strategic communication objectives for a wide range of video products that are platform optimized and designed to maximize engagement on social media. Research and source material as needed.Coordinate shoot and travel logistics and prepare associated draft budgets.Support PAO objectives for capturing newsworthy or historical events with an eye toward amplifying the Department’s policy priorities.Work closely with Digital staff to maintain and develop the technical capabilities of the video production gear (for the field and onsite). Ensure industry standards are met.Manage video assets using a media asset management (MAM) system, following established standards for metadata tagging for distribution on digital platforms.Evaluate and provide feedback on the creative approach and technical quality of video projects to ensure the Office delivers consistently high-quality content across all platforms.Possess a deep understanding of video best practices for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other established and emerging social platforms. Stay current on the evolution of video content optimization and performance across social platforms.Develop external communication videos, news stories, videography, photography, and live streaming of special events, conferences, symposiums, community activities, and podcast episodes.Perform multimedia support for digital media using appropriate industry software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and After Effects.Research, prepare, and disseminate visual information and new media through various communication outlets, including digital media, web, and social media.Perform story development and conduct video interviews using motion graphics, dynamic and static infographics, video lighting, and sound design.Operate audiovisual equipment and perform audiovisual editing. All visual communication delivered will be under PAO’s appropriate branding and editorial style guides.Perform Livestreaming, Video Production, and Photographing support.Perform graphic design and items listed under the multimedia section.Services may be required to be performed outside of the Washington, DC metro area.Minimum Experience:Must be able to obtain OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training Course Certificate or Construction Industry Outreach course by an approved federal OSHA training provider before entering employment.Expertise in video production for social media platforms.Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite.Experience in managing video content distribution.Strong understanding of video best practices for social media.Physical Requirements:The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, and bending; lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and moving equipment, tools, materials, furniture, and a variety of other heavy objects.Benefits at Red Carrot:At Red Carrot, we empower you to be a leader.
