Public TrustPosition Summary:The Producer/Technical Director leads the technical execution of live programs, including managing camera, audio, lighting, and graphics/video. This role involves maintaining and developing the technical capabilities of the Interactive Studio and overseeing live content distribution.Key Responsibilities:Serve as livestream director. Lead R&D of live stream technology to develop the technical capabilities of the Interactive Studio. Develop workflows, SOPs and overall production practices ensuring technology conforms to industry standards as well as the unique challenges faced by Interactive to reach a wide variety of audiences.Operate an array of technologies in a support capacity (e.g. camera, audio, lighting, graphics, teleprompter, floor director and graphics as needed) and develop proficiencies in all elements of live streaming applications including creating live streams and channels, operating hardware and software encoders, CDN management, modifying and embedding video players and multi-screen content delivery.Serve as master control room operator, supporting the operations of the Multimedia Unit’s Master Control (MC). Maintain accurate logs and documenting and reporting and operation and technical issues within the MC environment, and following and maintaining PAO’s procedural protocols, standard operating procedures, and broadcast best practices.Collaborate with PAO colleagues for live production strategies and methodical changes, training fellow staff members on new practices and procedures, writing standard operational procedures, recommending revisions in organizational structures, and assisting with software and hardware integration.Provide operational technical support services and solutions for live content distribution, overseeing content requirements and distribution, testing new strategies to optimize performance and delivery, and managing video encoders along with hardware/software components to ensure content delivery to social media platforms.Contractor shall coordinate off-site livestream and travel logistics and prepare associated draft budgets.Minimum Experience:Must be able to obtain OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training Course Certificate or Construction Industry Outreach course by an approved federal OSHA training provider before entering employment.Experience in livestream directing and live stream technology development.Proficient in various elements of live streaming applications.Experience as a master control room operator.Ability to train staff and recommend organizational improvements.Physical Requirements:The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as a) long periods of standing, walking, and bending; b) lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and c) moving equipment, tools, materials, furniture, and a variety of other heavy objects.Benefits at Red Carrot:At Red Carrot, we empower you to be a leader.
