The

Director of Marketing, Advanced Analytics,

is responsible for the strategy, execution and adoption of marketing analytics, optimization, reporting and high impact insights. The Strategic Analytics team is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to inform decision making across all parts of the enterprise, fueling our ability to unleash the next generation of customer experiences and to transform the way Best Buy operates. In this role, you will blend experience with advanced analytics tools, thought leadership in analytic strategy, and a proven ability to work across business and technology teams to deliver insights driving outcomes for top priorities. This role requires strong relationship building and tops-down prioritization through partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing Leadership Team, as well as cross-functional partners such as Finance, Technology, and other Advanced Analytics teams.

What you'll do

Develop marketing analytics strategies that advance data and analytics applications in support of multiple internal/external stakeholdersManage and evolve portfolio of marketing effectiveness and optimization capabilities to meet changing needs of media and advertising partnersLead and coach a diverse and high-performing team to expand and advance the role and impact of marketing analytics throughout Best BuyDevelop relationships and collaborate with business partners across Marketing, Advanced Analytics, Finance, and Digital & Technology to leverage best-in-class platforms and support multi-disciplinary business needsBlend strong analytical aptitude with business acumen to understand marketing strategy, objectives and drive data-driven analyses that serves the customer firstProactively deliver insights to marketing leaders that positively impact the business through increased adoption of data-driven decision makingProvide marketing effectiveness subject matter expertise through a proactive, unbiased approachKeep abreast of new theories, strategies, and best practices in the industry, and think beyond current knowledge and existing assumptions to develop new solutions, applications, and strategiesDevelop a strategic vision for the team and participate in budgeting and the annual planning processMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, the physical sciences, computer science, marketing/business or similar field with quantitative rigor OR equivalent experience10 years or more experience in retail, analytics, business, or related area5 years or more experience applying analytical techniques to answer business questions or scientific questions6 years or more of direct or indirect managerial or leadership experiencePreferred Requirements:

Masters degree in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, the physical sciences, computer science or similar field with quantitative rigor5 years or more experience working with marketing audience development and/or CRM strategyDemonstrated success collaborating/influencing cross functional business teams/decisions5 years or more experience leveraging data science and data visualization tools, such as SQL, Tableau/PowerBI, SAS, R and/or Python3 years or more of influencing and presenting to executivesHigh financial acumen with understanding of concepts such as ROI and incrementalityWhat’s in it for you We’re committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
