The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), a pioneering force in the liberty movement since 1946, is seeking a visionary Editorial Director to lead our content strategy into a new era of growth and impact.

These principles include: individual liberty, free-market economics, entrepreneurship, private property, high moral character, and limited government.About the RoleThe Editorial Director at FEE will lead the organization’s written content strategy, overseeing article publications, eBook publications, email newsletters, and social media to attract and convert a discerning audience. FEE has publication channels in both English and Spanish.We’re seeking a dynamic leader with the vision and authority to shape FEE’s written content for the next generation, bridging traditional and modern media approaches while maintaining our commitment to liberty-oriented content and expanding our influence and readership.The ideal candidate will have extensive editorial leadership experience, a strong intellectual foundation in liberty principles, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams. They should be able to balance intellectual depth with broad appeal, attracting a distinguished audience while engaging younger generations.This role reports to the President of FEE and is a full-time, in-office position in Atlanta, GA. The Editorial Director will manage at least 7 other individuals.Responsibilities:Supervising and guiding an already established team of competent individualsManaging the editorial workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality contentDeveloping a vision for FEE’s publications, including relaunching “The Freeman” as a multi-author digital publication with print editionsAttracting contributions from established voices and innovators in the liberty spaceCreating engaging, intelligent digital content that resonates with young people while driving traffic to FEE’s website, digital products, and in-person experiencesCollaborating with FEE Studios to produce innovative multimedia projectsManaging the conversation in the liberty space and connecting with new builders and voicesCrafting compelling narratives that make the principles of a free society accessible and irresistible to young audiencesDeveloping strategies to convert online engagement into meaningful participation in FEE’s programs.Objectives:Shift social media strategy from reach-only focus to reach + conversionProduce innovative content that appeals to younger generations without compromising intellectual depthIncrease engagement with FEE.org, newsletters, and in-person experiencesMaintain the high standards of FEE’s established brand while innovating for growthIdeal Candidate’s Qualifications:10+ years of experience in editorial leadershipStrong intellectual grounding in the liberty movementProven track record of managing high-performing teams and content strategiesDemonstrable intellectual authority and social media expertiseAbility to attract high-quality authors and distinguished audiencesSkilled at connecting with both established and emerging voices in the liberty movementAbility to travel approximately 10%Compensation and Benefits:Health and dental insurance with reimbursement of deductibles401K plan with a 50% employer match up to $4,000Flexible time offCollaborative, collegial, creative, and energetic work environment dedicated to advancing the freedom philosophyTo Apply:Qualified candidates should submit the following application materials (in order) in
