WSE also holds partnerships with 100+ rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.Wave Sports + Entertainment is seeking an experienced Lead Video Editor with motion graphics and social media experience to edit long-form and short-form videos and podcasts for our Basketball and American Football original programming, for distribution across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook. In this role you will have the opportunity to edit high priority video and audio original content for our audience of millions of sports fans and help define our creative direction. We're looking for people who love sports, know how to tell a great story, and can entertain a social media audience. This is a collaborative position with our team where you will have a hand in crafting each story and how to visually tell them. The ideal candidate will have a track record of editing video and audio content in a production team environment, creating short-form and long-form videos and podcasts, optimizing content for a social community, and collaborating well with others.Responsibilities
Edit long-form new original programming similar to our hit shows 'New Heights' with Jason and Travis Kelce and 'Podcast P' with Paul GeorgeEdit short-form original programming cutdowns for distribution across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and TwitterMeet tight deadlines for YouTube and social videos dailyManage and prioritize video/audio projects, using time and resources efficientlyCommunicate and collaborate with a team of social-savvy producers, video editors, and graphic designersAdd creative flourishes beyond what is in the script for YouTube and social videosEdit in a fast-paced environment that is reactive to sports, lifestyle, and cultureLeverage knowledge of Football, Basketball, YouTube, and social media landscapes to maximize content engagement and exposureHelp guide creative strategy on assigned social channels to continuously optimize our contentBe yourself. We want to be new and fresh everyday, and have fun doing itOther duties as assignedQualifications
6+ years professional video editing and producing experienceHighly skilled in video editing and motion graphics via Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After EffectsAbility to edit long-form and short-form videos quickly and efficientlyStrong audio editing skill setExperience editing long-form hosted video programmingAble to self produce creative touches for YouTube and social videosExperience creating viral social media video content across TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and other social platformsExcellent digital media file managementPassionate sports fanStrong sense of social media style geared toward a younger Millennial/Gen Z audienceExperience in a fast-paced, tight deadline, production team work environmentPrevious experience working in startups preferredStrong sense of social media style geared toward a younger Millennial/Gen Z audienceExperience editing long-form programming and social media cutdowns from those shows is a major plusSkills

This role is a full-time position with a base salary range of $85,000 - $90,000 and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's level of experience and qualifications.
