WellStone is seeking an experienced, passionate, proactive, and creative MARCOM Specialist with a heart for nonprofits. The ideal candidate understands mental illness and substance use disorders, branding, design, and the power of relationships. Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the MARCOM Specialist will help develop and execute a broad range of marketing and communications strategies for WellStone and its 70-plus programs. The selected candidate will help us continue building our brand, increasing our visibility, and strengthening our relationships as we expand critical mental health care services across our community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field.Three-plus years of experience in marketing and communications.Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and commitment to follow-through on assignments.Proficient in all social media platforms.Strong personal integrity to protect privacy of sensitive and/or confidential information.Passion for mental health, substance abuse recovery, community and non-profits.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyExperience with an email platform (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic understanding of CANVA and moderate knowledge of Adobe InDesign (with portfolio)Experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus.Other duties as assignedDuties and Responsibilities:

Work with Director of Development to create strategies for all phases of marketing, from social media and newsletters to print projects and messaging.Use programs such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, HubSpot, Donor Perfect, and other essential programs to communicate with donors, stakeholders, clients, and employees.Help secure sponsorships, and join all hands on putting together successful events, big and small.Create email newsletter blasts for external and internal (employees) audiencesManage and schedule content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X) through HootSuite.Help with the implementation of a new website.Ensure marketing coverage for Huntsville-based programs, as well as Cullman-based services.Participate in planning, promoting, and hosting community outreach events and fundraisers.Help solicit sponsorships, while learning cultivation skills to move individuals from friend to fan to donor.
