Summary

The Social Media Coordinator will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract guests and promote the See Rock City Inc. Brands through our social media channels. They will increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. Under the direction of the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organization's mission, culture, and values.Models appropriate guest and partner interaction at all times.Creates strategic content directed by each brand's social media strategy, including photos, videos, live coverage, and messaging.Monitors, dialogues, and posts accurately on all 25+ social media sites, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X, and Pinterest for all See Rock City Inc. brands (Rock City/Enchanted Garden of Lights, Battles for Chattanooga, Grandview, Chanticleer Inn, RiverView Inn, Clumpies Ice Cream Co., GOOD DOG GO!, Starbucks).Assists with the measurement and reporting of the results of all social media marketing.Researches and stays updated on the latest SoMe trends across all channels, including scheduling software, the direction of where the channels are headed, hashtag trends, and best practices for optimization in building followers.Assists with monitoring and responding to travel review sites.Verifies social media influencers to qualify them for passes or filming.Supports social media marketing campaign planning and execution.Assists in the coordination of film crews or photographers onsite, when needed.Provides live social media coverage during select special events such as the Enchanted Garden of Lights and seasons at Rock City.Participates in marketing brainstorming sessions.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital media, communications, or a related field.Minimum one year(s) experience in marketing, digital media, or communications environment preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Possess an outgoing, friendly personality and the ability to provide excellent guest service.Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, blogs, Instagram, Google Plus, Hootsuite, Buffer, and Dropbox.Willingness to learn other marketing-related software as needed.Comfortable meeting and talking with people in both individual and group settings. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, guests, or the public.Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.Possess an outgoing, friendly personality and attitude with a desire to provide quality service.Video experience preferred.Graphic arts and Photoshop experience a plus.Organized and detail-oriented, able to take initiative and multi-task while meeting deadlines.Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.Proficient in AP style.Able to take direction well. Willingness to adapt and adjust to changing needs.Ability to speak on camera professionally.Possess a current driver's license, safe driving record, and the ability to operate company vehicles.Ability to provide a flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.Required to use hands and fingers regularly. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently. Required to walk trail regularly.

Salary Description

$15-$18/HR
