Position TitleVisual Resources Manager
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Visual Resources Manager will be responsible for managing and organizing the university's digital assets, including photos, videos, and graphics. This role requires experience with a digital asset management system and a strong understanding of visual media.
Key Responsibilities:Manage Digital Assets:
Oversee the organization, storage, and retrieval of digital assets including photos, videos, and graphics.Digital Asset Management System:
Utilize and maintain a digital asset management system to ensure easy access to assets.Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and communications team and university partners to understand their visual asset needs and provide appropriate resources.Resource management:
Build a freelance network of content creators (photographers, videographers, including students) and manage those relationships as well as project assignments against the allocated annual budget.Scheduling:
Create and build a master schedule of photo and video projects and asset collection based on MarCom office objectives.Quality Control:
Ensure the quality and consistency of digital assets in line with the university's brand and communication guidelines.Other Duties as assigned:
Support the mission of The University of Tulsa as assigned.Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Proven experience in managing digital assets and using a digital asset management system.; MediaValet would be particularly beneficial.Experience in film editing, photography, and graphic design is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame io would be beneficial.Experience in video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer would be beneficial.Knowledge of photography software like Adobe Lightroom would be beneficial.
Physical DemandsTyping/Keyboarding:
Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.Speaking:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Reaching:
Ability to reach for items on shelves or in cabinets.Manual Dexterity:
Ability to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, handle files, and perform other tasks.
