VISUAL MERCHANDISING SPECIALIST | JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

At Magnolia, the Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for assisting in creating visual merchandising guidelines that will bring the Magnolia vision to life and inspire our guests across all Magnolia retail entities. This position works directly with the Director of Visual Merchandising to ensure the Magnolia brand aesthetic is upheld throughout all Magnolia locations. This position works from various locations in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Visual Merchandising and has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with Director of Visual Merchandising to create detailed and inspiring visual merchandising guidelines*Partner with the Merchandising and Planning teams to understand the thought process behind upcoming product buys, and translate that vision into our merchandising guidelinesAssists with sourcing fixtures, antique pieces, binning, and display elements as neededFacilitate walks at all supported entities to ensure merchandising details of installs, product launches, and large-scale events are implemented and maintained properly*Work with Planning Team and Allocations to forecast new product visual minimums for installs and eventsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the Magnolia aesthetic, product pairings, and seasonal story telling translates for our guest from online to real-life experienceSupport implementation of all merchandising concepts within timelines and with minimal supervision*Brainstorm ways to inspire, create, reinvent, and bring big picture ideas to life in a retail setting*Ensure Visual Coordinators are trained and developed in all aspects of visual merchandising*Develop and grow partnerships with other departments within MagnoliaPerform other duties as assigned*Metrics evaluated on Performance Review

Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred2-4 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferredAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and holidays occasionally as business needs requiredPortfolio requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
