The

Internal Communications Manager

is responsible for the creation, development and implementation of communication strategies and programs targeted to employees and other stakeholders. This manager is responsible for increasing employee engagement and driving a focused effort on corporate growth strategies through impactful internal communications across multiple platforms. This role will primarily support the Human Resources function, while also leading internal communications initiatives for other business groups, functions and enterprise strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead internal communications strategy for HR to inform, engage and inspire employees.

Create and drive effective and impactful multi-faceted internal communications plans and campaigns to aid the HR function and company in carrying out key business initiatives.

Creatively develop, cascade, manage and execute internal communications strategies utilizing multiple channels, including the Intranet, digital signage, and employee relations campaigns

Design internal campaigns to generate excitement and employee engagement within Generac

Leverage analytics to help guide communications strategy.

Oversee the reporting of key metrics and results.

Work collaboratively with business partners around the globe to develop and deploy internal communications strategies and plans

Drive the development of the annual communications calendar and oversee completion of action items and events

Review communications content supplied by company departments and publish to intranet or other resources as appropriate

Research communication topics and create verbal, print and electronic employee communications that are informative and engaging to the audience

Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and identify opportunities to improve communication efforts

Conduct reviews and analysis of existing systems and processes. Help drive the deployment of plans and efforts to standardize communications and communications processes across the organization

Assist in the onboarding and integration of newly acquired organizations. Conduct reviews and analysis of existing

communications systems and processes

Identify, develop and implement processes, as needed, to further improve team efficiency and results

Work with event planning teams to execute select employee communications events by serving as project manager

Research and develop content for senior staff presentations

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related degree OR equivalent experience

5 years of experience in internal / HR communications

Physical Demands

On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
