As the company grows and transforms, incumbent will need to identify and support new ways of reaching employees nationally while establishing productive relationships with key stakeholders. This position will have the unique opportunity to shape, define and execute a creative internal communications strategy that supports the delivery of our business and people ambitions. Collaboration is critical in this role, which involves conceptual development, content collection and integration across the business and departments to create and execute communications strategies that support Legal & General America's business objectives and that drive employee engagement. This role will have regular exposure to the executive team and will work closely with HR, giving the incumbent an opportunity to really understand the organization as a whole and be a key part of making it engaging and dynamic.Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic employee communications and other communications plans designed to support LGA's mission and vision, key business objectives, long-term goals, and key projects by using multiple communication channels and technology (e.g., intranet, video, email, digital messaging, town halls, etc.) to reach staff in all areas of the business.

Develop and execute communication plans to include channel management, content management, metrics, and insights with the aim of developing staff understanding and awareness of business ambitions, plans to achieve and how staff can assist in the achievement of those goals.Partner with Organizational Development Leader, UK and US colleagues in the development and execution of joint multi-media communications such as Town Halls, Umbrella Huddles, training and informational sessions, digital messaging, etc.Drive accessibility, integration, and expansion of our internal communications platforms to champion employee connection, culture, retention, experience for all employees, including our seconded and less digital workforce.Partner with and provide strategic advice and counsel to HR leaders and teams to help them use proactive communication plans, change management strategies and effective messaging to ensure a constant flow of HR-related information to internal audiences and external audiences.Develop and implement wide-ranging communication strategies, integrated tactical communication plans and compelling messages for major programs/initiatives that drive key elements of HR's strategy, including but not limited to performance development, total rewards (incl. compensation and benefits), talent development, work/life effectiveness, and wellness.Develop and deliver content used by Executives and other senior leaders to promote and communicate key business initiatives and results, high level organizational announcements, engagement activities, HR-related initiatives, including e-mails, presentations, talking points, video scripts and speeches.Strategizes content and functionality for the intranet and other social media sites to support associate communication; creates content for Intranet, website(s), LinkedIn, and YouTube; and maintains updates to the site. Deliver regular reporting on effectiveness measures.Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and share strategic guidance to further employee engagement.Identify articles, write content, and publish newsletter and establish company blog, partnering with internal subject matter experts to identify industry news, topics, and trends.Keep communications fresh, creative, and engaging. Ensure all communications and digital content aligns with our brand identity and message.Create and utilize text, images, and content to craft narratives that captivate employees, supported by both measurable metrics and anecdotal feedback.Oversee and validate metric reporting provided by staff. Make recommendations to improve approach for future communications, events, and activities as needed.Ensures continuous improvement by measuring communications impact and effectiveness. Collect and analyze data, make recommendations to improve our approach and the results of future communications, events, and activities.Oversee the forms development process to ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure approval of form design and content from Legal and Actuarial teams. Ensure the Forms Repository, as the single source for regulatory compliance, accurately reflects business forms approved for use.Oversee the maintenance of new hires onboarding forms in DocuSign in collaboration with human resource staff.Professional and timely management of staff concerns, quality reviews, corrective actions, and work management. Provide guidance, feedback, and training to encourage growth within the team.Develop, review, and maintain procedures for all facets of departmental responsibilities.Independently able to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.Oversee the forms requests managed by staff, ensuring the forms repository is managed to meet regulatory requirements.Prepare and submit reporting in relation to communications and forms work monthly, quarterly, and annually as requested.Miscellaneous projects as assigned.Provide back-up support and guidance to other members of the HR team as needed.Qualifications

Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree - Marketing, Business Management, or Communications concentration preferred5+ years work experience with internal communications and design with delivery via multi-channels.3+ years desktop publishing software experienceDemonstrated experience and confidence working with and writing for executivesProven experience creating and implementing communications plansProven exceptional strategic, written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and motivate actionDemonstrated experience in developing employee skills and performance through training and coachingDemonstrated experience in motivating and engaging employees to achieve goals and align with organizational visionWriting and digital communications samples, including portfolio of work, will be requiredFinancial services experience preferredSkills:Well-develop and dynamic writing skills, demonstrating an excellent command of language and the ability to creatively compose clear and engaging communications.Superior organizational and prioritization skills, with a high comfort level in juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Strong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization including executive leadership.Ability to build both strategic and tactical plans that drive perceptions, deliver key messages, for local, global, and decentralized workforces and get results.Ability to turn complex, sophisticated business messages into communications that are appropriate for different audiences and business lines.Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, deadline driven, innovative organization with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and have a record of generating results.Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate and gain consensus among stakeholders with disparate views.Demonstrated ability to build strategies aligned with business goals and company cultureA self-starter who can be depended upon to ensure the accuracy and quality of content with minimal day-to-day supervision.Comprehensive understanding of all aspects related to effective, strategic communication with an emphasis on nuanced messaging, writing, and printing. Some internal events planning.Proficiency with a wide variety of communication channels, techniques, and emerging technologies, with a natural curiosity that leads to continuous improvement.Proficiency with WordPress, Constant Contact, and Adobe products preferred, advanced skills with PC applications, including MS Office, along with basic photo editing skills; SharePoint experience preferred; Adobe Creative Suite and other design experience is a plus.Willing to roll up one's sleeves and get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job.Must be willing to learn about the insurance industry.Reports to:Senior Manager Corporate ServicesStaff:People Communications AssociatesWhat's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $104,000 - $143,450 annually.

This role will be hybrid with 3 or more days in the office.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 20% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 20 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis.
