Key Responsibilities:The Creative Director will drive the evolution of the Guitar Center brand, lead Marketing and Advertising creative from start to finish, and lead a team of designers and copy writers in the development of a fresh point of view on the brand overall. The Creative team under your direction connects marketing and business objectives to the creative heartbeat of the brand.You will be responsible for leading, defining, and overseeing the brand voice of Guitar Center and driving the creative expression of our brand across a variety of customer touch points. The ability to see the full 360 view of the brand is imperative. In addition to being a strategic and creative leader you are also a natural-born collaborator and work well with others. This is a hands-on role responsible for addressing the needs of omni-channel marketing and digital/ecommerce efforts. Specialization in cross-channel and integrated media landscapes across print and e-commerce is a must, as well as strong portfolio that shows both creative and business acumen. Experience managing a team of 20+ is critical.Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:Creative Strategy and Leadership:Take the creative helm of the brand.Provide inspiration and lend a critical eye to all aspects of brand creative.Lead creative concept and strategic planning meetings.Lead, mentor, inspire and oversee a team of omnichannel art directors, designers, and writers.Mentor and direct team of designers and writers to create compelling campaign concepts.Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages creativity and excellence.

Brand Development and Management:Build engaging and on-brand integrated marketing experiences for our customers.Responsible for building and maintaining the Brand Guidelines.Ensure brand standards, design, and copywriting are consistent across all touch points.Lead continuous improvement of workflow to maximize capacity, increase efficiency and ensure teams are properly following process and procedure.Maintain department priorities and thrive in a deadline driven environment.

Omnichannel Creative Execution:Work with Ecommerce and Marketing team to craft compelling brand campaigns rooted in strategy. Must be an experienced multi-disciplinary team leader.Collaborate with our partner teams to develop seasonal and promotional campaigns.Utilize customer insights and data to inform creative decisions and optimize the customer journey.

Project Management and Execution with Marketing Operations:Manage multiple projects collaboratively with Marketing Operations, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.Oversee the budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for creative projects.Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and freelancers as needed to enhance creative capabilities.

Innovation and Trend Analysis:Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and differentiation.Experiment with new creative approaches and technologies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate fresh ideas and solutions.

Professional Experience & Requirements:Must be self-directed and able to work in a fast paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.Bring passion, energy, and enthusiasm to work every day.10+ years' experience developing creative output as central role in an Advertising Agency or internal Creative Services Department and managing creative teams.Able to develop big ideas into creative campaigns that drive the business forward and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others to get those ideas produced.You're a conceptual art director or copywriter who is constantly evolving and pushing your concepts to new levels.Experienced strategic thinker and know how to turn deep consumer insights into great concepts/design/content.Must have Executive presence, comfortable giving presentations, working with leaders and motivating teams across the organization.Knowledge of multi-cultural audiences.Hands on design skills and/or ability to write memorable headlines and body copy.Passionate about the latest digital technologies, design, typography, photography, cinematography, storytelling, and music.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can successfully handle multiple projects at once.Knowledge of partnership marketing multi-platform media campaigns.Experience working with brands and developing impactful ad campaigns.Excellent visual storyteller.Ability to influence brand partners and sell through ideas.Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility switching between styles and skillsets.Adhere to a high level of confidentiality.Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
