Description
Midway University seeks a marketing specialist to assist in marketing and communications efforts for the University. Work will include developing content for the website, newsletters, print materials, social media channels, and other marketing elements for external audiences to support admissions recruitment and the University's strategic goals. The marketing specialist reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and will collaborate as an essential member of the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, communications, interactive media, journalism, or a related field, with an emphasis on digital and social media marketing. However, consideration will be given to those with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• 3 plus years with experience working in collaborative teams and work environments, such as an ad agency or marketing firm, public relations agency, or digital marketing company. Experience in higher education preferred.
• Experience with graphic design software, as well as photography and video editing.
• Strong demonstrated working knowledge of social media platforms and producing engaging content including video shorts, stories, and reels.
• Demonstrated ability to write with clarity, technical accuracy, and creativity.
• Some experience with basic website design, content management systems, and email marketing software systems.
• Some experience with advertising campaigns, media buys, and tracking marketing metrics
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
