Responsibilities
This position will focus on the development of content by editing existing content and writing new content that reflects Publishing’s strategic goals in all markets, including consumer, professional (treatment centers, K–12 educational settings, and correctional facilities), and trade. This position will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and execution of product development projects.
Develop high-quality content, products, series, and ancillary extensions.Conduct ongoing product research for trends, on a broad level, and products, on a focused level.Oversee various administrative details for the editorial department, including contracts, profit and loss statements, copyrights, permissions, and author-related issues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3 years of content development experience (in-house, freelance, or a mix of both), with the ability to write and edit content for style, voice, usability, and age-appropriatenessExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially expressing difficult/sensitive information tactfullyPreferred Qualifications:Experience developing products specific to Hazelden Betty Ford’s marketsInstructional design experienceFamiliarity with CMOS styleExperience developing products and services for digital deliveryPrior nonprofit experience
