CTG is assisting a client in staffing a Technical/Mechanical Designer/Illustrator (non-creative) for an ongoing contract role.

Pay Range: $21.74 to $23.19/hr

Job Type: Hourly Consultant

Location: Bloomington, MN-Hybrid (Primarily virtual work at home, with occasional live client meetings and requirement to go to the Bloomington MN Office occasionally in the month.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepare detailed technical/mechanical illustrations, drawings, and art of Client’s transport temperature control systems for use in technical literature, reference books, or other product related materials using various mediums and techniques.

Apply knowledge and expertise to prepare complex illustrations including 2D/3D for company products, assemblies, equipment, tools and parts. Must be able to pull drawings from engineering source programs like Pro-E and Auto-CAD.

Modify, clean up or manipulate mechanical drawings and designs as needed using methods and techniques suited for final application. This includes solid understanding of isometric drawings, exploded views, ghosting, block diagrams and screen captures.

Proficient in engineering and graphic design applications such as IsoDraw, Pro E, Creo 4, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw and Photoshop.

Apply communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical personnel to produce the desired output and meet the needs of the intended audience.

Must be precise, accurate, organized and detail oriented while possessing solid time management skills.

Attend daily/weekly Client meetings to ensure customer assurance of quality and time management

Estimated 500 grids/month

Over 90% of the requests come through email. Participation in Teams Conference calls, standard correspondence typically email back and forth with client Technical Writers (there are 5 writers on Client staff). Update art files per direction of Technical Writers. Art and Project based work. Majority of art is already created and is sitting on their Drive system. Very little are new creations, no creative work.

HARDWARE: Computer will be provided by Client, with software installed. VPN access required. Access to systems (Windchill, network, etc) would be needed and provided by Client

EDUCATION: High School Diploma; Associate's Degree Preferred

SKILLS:

IsoDraw, Pro E, Creo 4, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw and Photoshop.
