CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a UI/UX Software Developer.
Type: Contract
Job Title: UI/UX Software Developer
Location: Painted Post, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Painted Post, NY.
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Description:
CTG is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer with strong proficiency in Vue.js and UI development using Figma designs, working within a Scrum development team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain user interface components and reusable modules using Vue.js
-
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform Figma designs into functional and reusable components
-
Integrate frontend applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
-
Utilize Git and GitLab for version control and collaborative development
-
Implement and manage UI components using Storybook for consistent development standards
-
Debug and solve complex technical problems to ensure seamless user experiences
-
Participate in agile development processes, including code reviews and sprint planning
-
Contribute to the development and execution of UI unit tests, promoting test-driven development practices
Requirements:
-
Proven expertise in Vue.js and related technologies (Vuetify, Vite, Pinia, Composition API, etc.)

Experience developing applications using Typescript

Solid understanding of MVC and MVVM architectural patterns
-
Strong proficiency with Git and GitLab (including CI/CD)
-
Ability to translate Figma designs into responsive, functional applications
-
Hands-on experience consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs
-
Experience using Storybook for building and sharing reusable Vue.js components
-
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on optimizing performance and user experience
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
-
Candidates with an Associate’s degree will be considered if they possess an additional 3-5 years of relevant experience
Experience:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in frontend development
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):
-
Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C#, VB.Net, Python, C++, Java, MATLAB
-
Experience with microservices and GraphQL API definition
-
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for frontend applications
-
Experience with testing frameworks and tools like Playwright or Cypress
-
Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
Travel Requirements:
- 0-25% Domestic and International (low likelihood, project-dependent)
