We are seeking a dynamic Retail Trade Marketer to drive our trade marketing strategy and enhance our brand's presence across retail channels. This role is integral to our mission of simplifying beauty routines and will focus on developing and executing trade marketing initiatives that align with MERIT's minimalist philosophy and values, while aiming to drive revenue growth. This role will report into the Sr. Director of Retail Merchandising and will work closely with Creative, Field Sales and Education, and Marketing teams to ensure a holistic omni-channel experience. This role requires a solid understanding of marketing, is both creative and technical, and is an exciting opportunity to join a growing start-up within beauty.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Support:

Help craft and execute a holistic retail marketing strategy that aligns with our global brand vision while maintaining local relevance and brand integrity across all channelsRetail Partnerships:

Serve as the primary marketing liaison for Sephora, assisting in strategy development and execution to ensure Merit stands outCoordinated Campaigns:

Partner with Marketing and Digital teams to develop impactful paid media strategies and on-brand marketing collateral for retail campaignsRetail Marketing Expertise:

Oversee all aspects of retail marketing, from in-store activations to online presence, ensuring an exceptional omnichannel experience for our customers direction of impactful and on-brand marketing collateral for these campaignsPerformance Analytics:

Utilize analytics to inform business decisions, assess new launch performance, and optimize marketing programs for better ROICreative Implementation:

Contribute to creating and implementing groundbreaking campaigns that boost brand awareness, affinity, and loyalty across all consumer retail touchpointsEvent Support:

Work with Field Sales and Education teams to strategize and execute consumer-facing mega-events and new market launchesQualifications:

5+ years of trade marketing experience (prior beauty or Sephora retail experience required)A successful record in creating and executing retailer specific strategies that drove high revenue growthProblem-solving and analytical skills; an ability to interpret sales performance and market trend information and create actionable and focused trade marketing plansExperienced in managing trade marketing budgets and allocating and optimizing spend based on dataStrong organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects at onceHighly collaborative, with strong skills in building relationships with internal teams, retail partners, and external agenciesExcellent communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for creating and delivering compelling marketing narratives based on dataA high attention to detail and follow-through is a must

We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
