Position Overview: Friendship Christian School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Band Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in students of all ages. The Head Band Director will be responsible for leading our band program, teaching music classes, and organizing performances and events that showcase our students' talents. This position will work directly with the Music Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive band program for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Conduct rehearsals and lead performances, including concerts, competitions, and other school events.
Teach music theory, instrumental techniques, and ensemble skills to students.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and participation.
Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate music education with the overall academic curriculum.
Maintain and manage band equipment and instruments.
Organize and participate in extracurricular music activities, such as marching band, jazz band, and pep band.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress and program updates.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification in North Carolina.
Proven experience as a band director or music teacher, preferably in a school setting.
Strong knowledge of music theory, instrumental techniques, and conducting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
