About the role A company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the company’s marketing efforts and drive growth across all channels. The CMO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s marketing strategy, building brand awareness, and driving customer acquisition and retention.

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, drive brand awareness, and increase market share. Recruit, mentor, and develop a best-in-class marketing team that is future-facing and digital-first in all aspects. Build and manage an annual marketing budget, present it internally for alignment, and ensure the department operates within the approved budget. Oversee the development and evolution of the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency and resonance across all touchpoints. Lead efforts to attract and acquire new customers through targeted marketing campaigns, digital advertising, SEO/SEM, social media, and other channels. Gain In-Depth Product Knowledge: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products. Mastery of the company’s product line is crucial for the CMO to develop and execute successful marketing strategies and lead the company’s marketing team effectively. Collaborate with product development team and retail sales team to develop and execute product launch strategies, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, leveraging insights to inform marketing strategies and initiatives. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts, analyse data to assess performance, and optimize strategies for maximum impact. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Support the Director of Marketing with identifying strategic partnerships with influencers, affiliates, media outlets, and other relevant partners to extend reach and drive brand awareness and customer acquisition. Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximize ROI and achieve business goals. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Requirements:Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership position. Experience in the fitness, supplements, health, wellness, or lifestyle industries is preferred. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive business results. Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing marketing campaigns and initiatives that resonate with target audiences and differentiate the brand in the market. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing performance. Proven leadership abilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies effectively to internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders. Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitive landscape in the health and wellness industry. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
