Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.A Day in the LifeThe VP of Structural Heart Global Commercial Marketing reports to the Vice President & General Manager of Structural Heart (SH) and has overall responsibility for leading the Global SH Marketing, Medical Education Programs, Healthcare Partner Strategy and Professional Advisory Services functions in establishing strategic vision, focus and direction to drive robust growth and market share for SH products and therapies worldwide.Role responsibilities will include Upstream, Downstream, Market Development, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Operations, Therapy Training, Professional Advisory Services, and Healthcare Partner Strategy and Education Programs. The SH business scope includes all TAVI, Congenital, and Adjacent Transcatheter platforms for a multi-billion, high growth business.This position will provide leadership and align commercial strategies and tactics across all markets and care providers to leverage the full portfolio of Medtronic’s heart valves, drive better economic value with our customers, and improve our partnerships with interventionalists and surgery customers enabling the growth of Structural Heart revenue and share.The VP of SH Global Commercial Marketing is responsible for developing the market strategies, structures and systems which will ensure long term market expansion and adoption of SH therapies, drive differentiation of the Medtronic brand and create clear customer preference for doing business with MDT. Ensure development of marketing teams to create a culture of winning in the market, functional excellence, close partnership with sales to drive exceptional field-based execution, and seamless functional collaboration across SH.The VP of SH Global Marketing is responsible for driving the growth of the SH business and collaborates closely with all functions to ensure senior leadership and employees at every level understand the vision and direction of the business and supports and represents the brand in their collective work. More specifically, the VP of SH Global Commercial Marketing will:Establish and execute SH commercial business strategies and marketing and operational plans that drive robust growth for market/therapy development, market share, revenue and profitable growth for the SH business.Define and prioritize markets for therapy and product access and commercialization; partner with regional marketing and sales teams to coordinate global resources.Responsible for all market model initiatives for SH; including PAA. Uses publicly available information as well as developing proprietary market research to establish informed and robust models to guide the business. Position is responsible for developing the SH strategic and commercial plan.Identify business growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements; provide support to move ideas through existing pipeline and product review processes to commercialization. Position is responsible for recommending investment priorities for the SH portfolio, considering both internal and external investments.Lead the implementation and adoption of global business and marketing strategies; work with regional leadership to translate and execute seamlessly at the regional and country level.Assume full responsibility for SH competitive and brand strategy, execution and coordination of new product launches in commercialized(ing) markets. Form, as necessary, multi-functional product launch teams and managing execution through formal governance and review mechanisms.Coordinate clinical and regulatory, research and development, and health policy and reimbursement, in collaboration with the local, regional, and OU functional teams, to develop the SH business globally.Manage marketing mix (distribution development, product promotions/brand development, and pricing strategy and execution) to ensure the Medtronic SH brands are most differentiated in the marketplace. Oversee SH messaging – ensuring all channels (leadership, sales, other employee, web, PR/IR, etc) are aligned, prepared and trained to the extent necessary for effective delivery).Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with KOLs, proctors and other health care professionals; ensure the definition and prioritization of customer requirements to enhance SH therapies and to define market needs and requirements.Responsible for key thought leader relationships and partnerships.Develop exceptional partnerships with the SH Regional Business Managers; and their respective sales and marketing teams in support of catheter-based therapies; including future products as they are commercialized.Drive talent acquisition & development as well as organizational development for the SH business in alignment with global business strategies and objectives. Position is responsible for developing functional excellence in the marketing team.Participate in and present in multiple venues; i.e., the SH business and global management boards and processes (eg SH Portfolio Strategy Board, Regional Leadership Meetings, SH QBR’s, SH&A Senior Staff, and others to be defined).Position is accountable for long term strategic planning and annual operating planning for marketing and managing execution to budgets.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Must Have:BA degree required with MBA strongly preferred.Strong track record of global marketing leadership; development of teams and marketing effectiveness. 15 years’ related marketing experience with at least 10 years progressive leadership experience. or 13 years’ related marketing experience with at least 10 years progressive leadership experience with a graduate degree.Important to Have:A proven track record of driving business growth globally, through exceptional leadership, performance accountability, culture and execution.Strong business acumen and business planning analysis – strategic planning, financial analysis, marketing planning. Ability to communicate business vision and align the organization to it.Proven ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal at all levels in an organization, externally and with diverse groups. Position requires excellent poise and confidence when interacting with physicians, patients, sales, across organizational functions and senior leadership. Proven ability to summarize complex information in a clear and concise manner.Proven ability to operate in a highly matrix’d environment and work effectively with all other functions.Proven track record of collaboration.Proven track record to work independently, while achieving aggressive personal and geographic objectives. Highly motivated, “can do” attitude with strong influence management skills.Exceptionally customer focused; develops very strong working relationships and networks across specialties and geographies.Proven track record of good judgment. PR) locations (USD): $175,000 – $400,000This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico.
