Reporting to the assigned Executive Creative Director, the Associate Creative Director is pivotal in delivering innovative and impactful experiential design solutions by seamlessly integrating advanced technology and digital experiences into projects. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies. By fostering a studio culture of technological innovation and sharing best practices, the Associate Creative Director ensures all designs meet the highest standards, driving forward-thinking solutions that keep our projects at the industry's forefront.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

may include but are not limited to:Lead, support and contribute to the project team's executed design solution and deliverable for assigned projectsDefines and holds assigned project teams accountable for executing and delivering quality solutions within designated timeframes, ensuring all project leadership and feedback is considered and incorporated as agreed uponLeads client presentations and communicationsCollaborate with the Tech Team (Hardware and Software Development) within DI to identify appropriate solutions that communicate the design intentEffectively communicates design solutions throughout a variety of Design phases: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documentation. This could include hand sketches, digital renders, illustrations, or amazing displays of whiteboard prowessProvide leadership to assigned project teams, set project-based expectations and requirements around design fidelity as it pertains to the Design phases: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development and Construction DocumentationConsistently ensures deadlines are being met and the work is meeting or exceeding client expectationsInterface directly with outside team counterparts and internal departments to lead, identify issues, track those issues and collectively develop solutionsConsistently and proactively exude a "go where needed" attitude and outlook on roleWork with project Leadership Team to develop project plans while considering available resources and project budgetsAbility to maintain a flexible travel schedule and travel on short notice based on client and project needSteward and manages process improvements and best practices within the Creative StudioArticulates and shares information and knowledge as a DI subject matter expertChampions, mentors, and supports the success of our Creative Studio team membersKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Demonstrate a strong proficiency in design programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketchup), research skills (for storytelling) and digital or hand sketching abilities in order to convey high quality design conceptsAbility to learn new skills and software quickly and to teach those skills to Creative Studio team membersAbility to give direction and constructive critique and document as neededConsistently and proactively exemplifies the desire to be a team playerConsistently provides leadership in the midst of challengesConsistently demonstrates and influences progress with quality and design solution techniqueConsistently demonstrates development of personal time management and multitasking skillsConsistently maintains quality control for design documentsIndependent thinking/solutions and autonomyPossess an overview-level knowledge of material and fabrication methods relevant to designStrong leadership, communication, and relationship management, including managing and mentoring multiple project teamsWillingness to learn business development, estimating, writing proposals and creative briefsActively represents Creative Studio team members and identifies potential issues/solutionsChampion and contribute to the Creative Studio visionEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.F.A) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture or related field required7-10 years proven design and leadership experience requiredExcellent time management skillsCritical attention to detail at all timesSound judgement, business sensibility, and discretion requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a salary (exempt) position.
