Job Summary

As the Strategic Marketing Consultant supporting UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, you will research, develop and implement strategic marketing plans that build preference and drive volume in support of business goals. You will apply your expert knowledge to prepare and present ideas and plans on a regular basis and collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure alignment.

This position serves as a key member of the UCSF Health marketing department, which is responsible for brand building and strategic business growth. Assignments are complex and require a high degree of technical marketing acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship management.

The Successful Candidate Will

Manage marketing strategy for an assigned hospital(s), service line, and ambulatory centers to achieve growth goals and support community network expansionDevelop trusted relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment and successful, timely execution of marketing plans to identified business prioritiesResearch, develop, implement, and report on strategic marketing plansHave experience developing and implementing precision marketing campaigns and using CRM platformsImplement, track and report key success metrics (ROI) for marketing campaigns, developing case studies that highlight impact and goal achievementPursue competitive analysis and market research to apply best practices based on strategic insights and market intelligencePursue and evaluate marketing audience and industry data to inform planningCollaborate with colleagues in strategic marketing, digital marketing, marketing technology and operations, physician outreach, and communications to ensure integrated and coordinated marketing effortsWrite creative briefs that demonstrate strategic acumen, and which inspire creative and campaign teams to deliver impactful, engaging campaignsPossess a thorough understanding of the marketplace and issues facing healthcareLead group presentations as a confident discussion leader, sharing plans and results to key stakeholder groupsServe a prominent representative of the UCSF Health brandSome travel requiredPerform other duties as assigned

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The annual salary range for this position is $94,400 - $201,800. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, health administration or a related field.Five (5) or more years of experience in successfully planning, implementing, and reporting on marketing programs that produce results against business objectives.Strong skills in relationship management and marketing to effectively organize resources and set and establish priorities.Strong interpersonal communication and political acumen skills.Excellent market research, analytical, problem recognition, avoidance, and resolution skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task multiple priorities and projects on time and budget.Flexible and solution-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Healthcare experience is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Marketing Agency experience.Concentration/specialization in marketing analytics, digital marketing and CRM.Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, health administration or a related field.
