Were looking for a creative, forward-thinking, and highly skilled design leader to be responsible for developing world class retaill. You will be executing on a variety of creative projects from concepts to creation. This role will support our creative, marketing, and business units and create user experiences that challenge our current thinking.* Direct the design and creative across all physical spaces* Find harmony between digital and physical* Lead our retail expansion to incorporate apparel* Focus on bringing new innovative experiences to consumers in and outside of the retail store* Own the experience vision and philosophy for our retail design systems that balances content, community and commerce* Drive clear retail creative direction & execution strategies with internal and external partners to connect with consumers in a consistent brand voice and tone.* Build, mentor and inspire a team of retail designers by providing vision and direction* I nform and drive senior management alignment on best practices in experience design and seasonal marketing integration* Define the allbirds flagship design* As an expert in the brand creative and experience design space, drive testing, data and efforts to help improve existing team resources/output to ensure best practices and a consistent brand voice and tone* Deliver best in class seasonal brand campaigns across retail* Lead cross functional alignment on key campaign launch moments and seasonal business priorities in market* Drive design workshops, working with stakeholders to address unmet needs and create surprise* Manage design efforts for projects, assign work to the team and approve for Creative Review with Creative Director* 10 years of retail design work experience, with a proven track record of high-quality design, global retail roll-outs* 7+ years leading a team; proven ability to lead and mentor a diverse creative team of retail designer* Demonstrated creative expertise in a broad array of systems and technologies including industrial design, architecture and graphic design* Strong, creative design sense for premium products, ideally in the fashion or lifestyle category* Practical experience of a global brand and collaborating with various stakeholders to balance global consistency with local relevancy* Good eye for detail, without losing sight of the big picture* Experience managing third party partners, agencies, and freelancers* Highly organized with good project management skills.* Excellent communication and presentation skills* Can thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambitious and flexible environment* Competitive salary + equity* Medical/Dental/Vision insurance* 401k employer match* Paid parental leave* Fitness benefits* Discounted products* Pup friendly office!**Diversity**Allbirds is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
