Youll be joining a team that is dedicated, passionate and highly values working in a collaborative environment.Position OverviewThe Senior Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating content andguiding email marketing strategies for the ACVIM in a highly collaborative, service focusedenvironment. This position manages the start to finish process for email messages including, process management, tracking and analytics reporting for the ACVIM with a primary focus on education and industry relation content. This position implements best practices in email marketing, leveraging existing tools and identifying new opportunities to support all organizational communication efforts. This position falls within the Operations & Marketing department and requires close collaboration with all teams throughout the organization and with external vendors to maintain cohesive and current email marketing messaging across the organization.All applications must include your cover letter and resume.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesEmail MarketingWorking in partnership with the Meetings, Event and Industry Relations (MEIR) team, guide and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies to drive event participation and industry relations engagement, retention, and revenue.Create and edit all email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional messages, and automated workflows.Establish compelling and engaging email content, including subject lines, copy, and calls-to-action and graphics that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives.Segment email lists based on user behaviors, preferences, and demographics to ensure targeted and relevant messaging.Conduct A/B testing to optimize email content, subject lines, and delivery times for maximum engagement and conversion.Monitor and analyze email campaign performance metrics and provide regular reports with actionable insights.Use email communications calendar to work with stakeholders across the organization to time communications for optimal performance.Identify opportunities for revenue generating email marketing programs that support the Industry Relations team.Data and AnalyticsManage and optimize data collection processes to ensure high-quality data for marketing efforts across the organization.Leverage email systems and databases to enhance engagement and compel progress through the prospect lifecycles.Maintain and organize marketing databases and AMS systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.Utilize data analysis to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform marketing strategies.Work closely with IT to assess data integrity and develop cohesive strategies.Privacy and ComplianceEvaluate and identify opportunities for updating privacy policies in line with the latest regulations and best practices.Develop and implement strategies to manage opt-outs and email preferences for all stakeholders while ensuring compliance with email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).GeneralContribute to budget preparation and management of budgetary items falling within areas of responsibility.Maintain and advance email marketing knowledge by participating in professional development opportunities.Demonstrated project management experience and managing multiple department relationships using online project management software.Ensure all email messages meet the highest visual standards while adhering to our strategic narrative and brand guidelines.Establish and cultivate effective relationships with staff, volunteers and external vendors. Work in partnership with appropriate staff to effectively execute marketing campaigns consistent with goals and resources.CompetenciesRelationship focused, internally and externally, with a high level of service to bothinternal and external stakeholdersAbility to prioritize competing deadlines and cross-departmental goalsEfficient management of workflow across multiple product lines and departmentsTechnical ability to bring concepts to lifeDiscerning attention to detailInitiative to drive creative solutionsQualificationsEducation and ExperienceAssociates degree or two years of experience in a professional society, membership organization or similar environment preferred.Minimum of three years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.Proven experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Informz, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot).QualificationsStrong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and automation.Experience with email template creation and customization.Dependable with exceptional interpersonal and written communications skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email platform analytics).Knowledge of data management and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Familiarity with privacy regulations and compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).Knowledge of online project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) is a plus.Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, Excel & Outlook a must).Familiarity using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, AfterEffects).Expert ability to consistently model the ACVIM commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive and collaborative work environment and adhere to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest and ethical responsibilities.Total RewardsThe ACVIM is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit organization offering a competitive total rewards package that enables us to find the best individuals to join our team.
