SCHERMER is looking for an Associate Creative Director (ACD) to help lead our creative team. The primary role of the ACD is to assist in setting forth the creative vision, strategy and execution for our strategic array of B2B clients whose products and services create better lives for people, better work for organizations, and a better world for us all.Reporting to the VP of Creative and Content, this position requires you to be a self-motivated problem-solver, design thinker, and an inspirational leader with empathy and resolve. You will be responsible for the work produced by the creative team for assigned clients, working with and leading a team of art directors, designers, content strategists, copywriters, contractors, and production specialists.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct the development of creative ideas and strategies through copywriting, design, motion, and other production means.Drive the development of engaging experiences and frameworks that drive work forward, meet internal + external goals, and achieve client marketing objectives.Demonstrate strong visual design and storytelling expertise to concept, produce, and deliver beautiful and purposeful designs for clients.Lead polished client presentations that demonstrate a clear vision of how the work is on strategy and addresses the client and buyer challenge(s).Understand how brand feeds into all activities and experiences for strategy, copy, design, and delivery, as well as how it connects buyers across the landscape of various marketing channels and touchpoints (web, social, product, print, etc.).Participate in client meetings and presentations, working alongside account and strategy teams to make strategic recommendations and foster collaborative conversations.Use a strong creative vision to shape and develop multi-disciplinary campaigns across all media types; has a strong knowledge of the digital landscape.Direct designers, art directors, content strategists, copywriters, contractors, and vendors throughout development of concepts, refinement, production, and final delivery.Ensure quality and preparation of deliverables for handoff to developers, production vendors, printers, clients, etc.Work seamlessly with account, strategy, experience, developer, and project management teams; be the voice of the creative team for both internal and external audiences.Juggle multiple initiatives with a strong ability to prioritize and manage tactics within a strategy.Be engaged and a true team player - working thoughtfully with others.Characteristics:Constantly Curious.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of agency experience.Expert skills in the full range of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Microsoft Office; motion and/or video skills a plus, but not required.Strong understanding of brand experiences and how they connect across the landscape of various marketing channels and touchpoints (web, social, product, print, etc.).Solid portfolio demonstrating passion, creativity, and problem-solving.Must effectively lead teams, work independently, and collaborate with others.Strong presentation skills to sell conceptual ideas internally and to clients.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; effectively manages time and concurrent initiatives.Collaborate with account teams to interpret client needs and solidify direction.Collaborate with project management teams to create scopes of work, timelines, and identify proper resources.Must help build upon and foster a culture of inclusivity, knowledge sharing, and entrepreneurial thinking.
