The

Marketing Manager

is responsible for executing the overall multichannel marketing strategy for the Global Engagement and Communications department, in partnership with the Director, Marketing & Brand. With direct supervisory duties of two key staff, the

Marketing Manager

implements high-level strategic campaigns across all external channels from start to finish. The

Marketing Manager

has superior project management and creative skill with the ability to take a project from conception to completion collaborating with numerous stakeholders. They should also have experience and knowledge in advertising, SEO, SEM, data, channel-specific strategies and content creation. This role proactively brainstorms and moves innovative ideas and fresh strategies forward across digital channels to increase engagement and brand recognition.

The

Marketing Manager

is detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and excellent decision maker, delivering high quality results to increase brand awareness and donor engagement. The position should be a strong relationship builder with the ability to work with all stakeholders from technical experts to brand influencers. This role also has a keen eye for data, with a demonstrated ability to build strong data capture mechanisms, routine analysis capabilities, and make decisions as a result. The

Marketing Manager

will spearhead the marketing team's data dashboard and establish mechanisms for routine review and be able to provide detailed technical information in a clear, simple way that leads to action and demonstrably increased success. They must stay abreast of marketing best practices and innovations in the field, and routinely bring new ideas to the table for marketing efforts.

RESPONSIBITLITIES:

Marketing

Supervise the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing AssociateLead the creation and execution of strategic campaigns, including strategic use of stories, videos, social media, photography, infographics, and interactive content to drive engagement among existing and new audiences and build new leads for our marketing funnelProvide marketing expertise for developing and furthering the department's strategic vision, especially as it relates to brand awareness and fundraisingAnalyze and contribute significantly to external messaging, and ensure content is on-brand and high quality for the intended audience, as well as following our strategic content calendarSupport our global team with best marketing and communications practicesIdentify opportunities and work with our development team to execute digital partnerships with potential brand partnersIdentify opportunities to build Jhpiego's influencer capabilities and work collaboratively within the GECO team to identify and onboard influencers who can help extend our brand awareness and bring in new audiencesProvide supervision for our social media efforts and general digital communications efforts for campaigns, especially on paid advertising campaignsProactively develop innovative ideas and fresh strategies for our digital channels, including social, blog, website and email, to increase engagement and brand recognitionEvaluate new technologies and innovations to improve and optimize marketing team performance

Campaign Execution & Project Management

Oversee the dissemination across digital channels of long-term integrated campaigns, working with colleagues across the organization to ensure deadline-driven, multichannel campaign successNegotiate with stakeholders across the organization to manage competing projects and requests across the organization, right-sizing projects based on marketing strategies and our content calendarWork with the Director of Brand and Marketing to support, execute and improve processes for marketing efforts

Data Strategy

Maintain the department's digital analytics dashboard and lead routine reviews to make strategic decisions based on successes and failures, especially at the campaign levelBenchmark, analyze and provide robust insight into ROI of paid advertising campaigns, including helping senior leaders understand the long-term value of the marketing funnelPerform market research and data analysis on an ongoing basis and specifically for key marketing campaignsAnalyze and provide actionable insights on our key audiences for the departmentWork with the web team to analyze search traffic and help direct communications colleagues on appropriate SEO strategies for content

Supervision

Provides coaching, guidance and mentorship to direct report(s) where neededSets targets and objectives for assigned area and delivers resultsGrows team expertise to align with program and organizational direction while continually looking for ways to provide / enhance the value deliveredTracks, monitors and effectively addresses and / or rewards performance of team membersManages employees in compliance with all HR policies, procedures, guidelinesShares knowledge, information, skills and subject matter expertise among the team and ensures the timely communication of issues while encouraging good working relationships with other functions / teamsRecruits for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce with the necessary capabilities needed to achieve goals.

Special Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong leadership skills and at least 2 years' experience managing other full-time staff as well as contractors/vendorsA successful record of envisioning, developing and implementing effective and comprehensive long-term marketing campaigns a robust marketing background, either at an agency or a complex international organization, diligentAbility to write and edit quickly and clearly for both general and technical audiences across a full range of communications productsSuccess elevating the profile of a brandNuanced understanding of digital marketing channels and experience executing across social media, web and emailExperience developing and implementing marketing strategies for large, diverse, international organizationsAbility to foster an inclusive, collaborative team in a multicultural environmentProven ability to monitor trends that impact an organization's strategic visionDemonstrated ability to translate complex information into compelling communications for a general audienceExcellent proofreading and editing skills and a thorough understanding of multimedia design principlesFamiliarity using metrics and data to evaluate and inform campaign executionAbility to travel up to 15% of the time

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in related fieldFive years related experienceAdditional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

Preferred QualificationsMaster of Arts in Marketing with 7+ years
