Our client, a mission-driven, industry leader in the consumer services space is looking for an Industrial Designer to join their team. Born in San Francisco and now based in Los Angeles, they produce innovative and enriching products that help patrons and users in the education and entertainment spaces (amongst others) thrive and increase productivity in a world consumed by technology. They are quickly growing and thrilled about this addition! Their mission revolves around creating connections and increasing creativity without technology.In this role, you will design and develop innovative mechanical components for their products, ensuring they meet the highest functionality, aesthetics, and user experience standards. You will apply your manufacturing, material selection, and trend analysis knowledge to create exceptional designs. Success in this role requires a high level of curiosity, ingenuity, and design expertise.This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mar Vista, CA.

Candidates outside of the Los Angeles, CA area will not be considered.ResponsibilitiesCreate innovative designs for bags and accessories, considering functionality, aesthetics, and user experienceDevelop detailed sketches and illustrator renderingsEnsure designs meet technical specifications and production requirementsApply expertise in cut & sew techniques to develop high-quality productsUtilize no-sew techniques where applicable to create unique and functional designsSelect appropriate materials such as fabrics, trims, and hardware for each projectConduct research on new materials and trends to incorporate into designsCreate detailed technical packages for factories, including specifications, patterns, material lists, and assembly instructionsStay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive productsBring innovative ideas and solutions to the design process.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field2-4 years of experience in industrial design, preferably in the fashion, accessories, or outdoor gear industriesProficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essentialExperience with CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plusStrong understanding of cut & sew and no-sew techniquesAbility to design and develop products from concept to productionThorough knowledge of fabrics, trims, hardware, and other materials used in bag and accessory designAbility to create detailed technical packages for factories, including specifications, patterns, and assembly instructionsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailBase:
