Call for Applications for Jazz Piano Lecturer
The UCI Music Department is seeking a temporary instructor to teach individual lessons in jazz piano performance
during academic year 2024-25. The instructor will prepare and teach weekly 50-minute jazz piano lessons for one undergraduate music major, and will also participate in the department's entrance audition process in January. The position also involves mandatory online training required by the University.
Required qualifications:
* A Master's degree in jazz or equivalent professional experience
* Experience teaching jazz piano individual lessons
Preferred qualifications:
* Evidence of successful teaching at the college or university level
* Experience working with diverse student populations and promoting inclusive excellence
* A record of creative accomplishments in the field
* Familiarity with current trends and innovations in jazz piano pedagogy
