Major/Essential Functions

Communicate and coordinate audition information, and coordinate TA monitors as needed. Supervise student workers who are updating social media and public announcements social media and public.Arrange, and manage all aspects of planning and executing student ensemble group travel including but not limited to meals, lodging, and transportation working closely with the faculty members and the Business Office.Coordinate travel arrangements with faculty for guest artists/conductors traveling to the School of Music to present workshops and performances.Monitor revenues, expenditures, and budget reports, organize, manage, and document the distribution of information to prospective students through the use of telephone contacts, bulk mailings, email, social media, and the School of Music website for the Choral, Opera Theatre, Orchestra, Symphonic Wind, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensembles, and other ensembles as appropriate.Collaborate with the Unit Manager of Performances and Scheduling and ensemble directors to ensure all production needs for ensembles are communicated clearly and effectively

.Organize, manage, and document the distribution of information to prospective students through the use of telephone contacts, bulk mailings, e-mail, social media, and the School of Music website. Provide information to alumni and the general public about Bands Choral, Jazz, Opera Theatre, and Orchestra activities.Manage day-to-day operations of the Administrative Office for Band, Choral, Jazz, Opera Theatre, and Orchestra programs.Work cooperatively with the Music Business Manager to manage the procurement of and payment for sheet music, equipment, and special items.Receive, document, and deposit revenue daily at the time when sales activities are occurring.Supervise and provide support to Band, Choir, and Orchestra librarians.Coordinate the ordering of uniforms for large ensembles. Arrange cleaning services if needed .Collaborate with the Lead Designer to market ensemble concerts, including the design of

posters, programs, social media presence, and radio spots/interviews.Travel with ensembles on performance tours to act as a coordinator or liaison as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of handling annual budgets and ensemble library practices. Stand office administrative practices and procedures, including the use of standard office equipment. Strong leadership skills and excellent Microsoft office skills. Solid interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written, critical thinking and prioritizing work. Reliable with patience and professionalism. Grace under pressure the ability to function effectively under stringent deadlines and resolve problems under pressure.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
