Please send your resume and cover letter to jobs@atla.com .SUMMARY:Atlas Content Licensing and Acquisitions Manager ensures the organization realizes short and long-term content acquisitions and product development goals to support revenue growth. This individual develops Atla's value proposition, identifies opportunities, and negotiates content licenses for new and current products aligned with the organizations content strategy. The role requires strong relationship-building skills to engage with leading industry publishers and other content producers, creativity for identifying new product concepts, and advanced subject matter expertise to serve Atlas customers in religion and theology. The manager will renegotiate existing license agreements to optimize terms and ensure Atla's offerings remain competitive and valuable to its global user base.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Negotiating directly with publishers, content providers, and other organizations to secure a comprehensive range of content rights and permissions, thereby expanding Atlas suite of offerings that support the study of religion and theology and the understanding of religion in cultural and political contexts.Identifying new content and product opportunities with a positive ROI and collaborating with senior staff and peers to develop compelling value propositions that differentiate and define current and future products, supporting and advancing Atlas mission.Developing and managing a strategic content licensing plan to acquire new titles and diverse content types, enhancing both existing and new products to meet the evolving needs of Atlas user base.Managing, expanding, and renegotiating relationships with content producers, publishers, and other potential partners to address the changing needs and concerns of the global market, ensuring Atla remains at the forefront of content provision in religion and theology.Understanding Atlas royalty structure and payment process to inform negotiations with new publishers and to support and maintain strong relationships with existing publishers.Promoting Atlas brand and value proposition to publishers, librarians, and scholars. Crafting and delivering a compelling marketing message to engage new and existing publishers in the Atla mission.Collaborate across the organization to support ongoing projects and ensure transparency in communicating the status of deliverables.Representing Atla at global conferences as an exhibitor and presenter to enhance visibility and foster industry connections.Performing other related duties as assigned by management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:Advanced Degree in Religion or Theology at Master's level or PhD level.Four or more years of related experience in content licensing/negotiations and publisher relations, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex negotiations.Demonstrated experience effectively managing and maintaining excellent publisher/content provider relationships.Demonstrated ability to articulate the organizations mission and value proposition.Computer skills required: Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar tools.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills and experience presenting to various audiences.Proven track record of strong personal initiative, task ownership, the ability to operate independently and multi-task effectively, managing high-volume workflow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to meet tight deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to have a collaborative and growth mindset, balancing needs of current relationships with a forward-looking approach to acquiring content and developing new products.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the organization and support team members with effective communication and creative problem-solving, adapting to priorities as they are identified.US time zones and locations only (candidates must reside within the 48 contiguous states of the United States).EEO Statement:Atla is an equal-opportunity employer.
