ManagementJOB SUMMARYThis key role reports to the Portfolio Management Sr. Director within the US-Canada Technology team and will shape and execute our content strategy. Creates and manages the organization and dissemination of content across all platforms for US/Canada and will contribute to creating strategies to efficiently manage knowledge resources, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for internal and external stakeholders.We are looking for a strategic thinker and creative leader who will have a strong background in content strategy, hands-on graphic design skills, and the ability to influence a team to create visually appealing and engaging content.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience:Undergraduate degree from an accredited university; or equivalent experience, training, and certifications.8+ years of progressive experience in content management, knowledge management, or a related field, that has fostered:Strong understanding of content strategy, information architecture, and user experience principles.Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), knowledge management platforms, and digital analytics tools.Ability to deliver clear, easy-to-understand communications deliverables.Attributes & Capabilities:Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.Formal and informal presentation skills.Graphic design experience/expertise.Possesses a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a strategic mindset for content creation.Adept at visual storytelling.Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation.Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.Creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in content and knowledge management.Basic project management skills.Ability to complete deliverables with high quality and up to established standards.Strong analytical skills to measure and report on content performance.Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Preferred:Experience working in or on behalf of (i.e., consulting) a large-scale, global enterprise strongly preferred.Graduate Degree.Hospitality experience.CORE WORK ACTIVITIESEstablishes strong, collaborative ties with the Director of Communications on the Portfolio Management organization.Delivers difficult and time-sensitive requests with clear, easy-to-understand content.Partners with a team of content creators, curators, and knowledge managers to optimize information flow and promote best practices in content management.Creates visually compelling and engaging content across various digital platforms, ensuring consistency with our brand identity.Identifies needs and then develops, manages, and maintains content management plans for the organization.Partners and builds relationships with other disciplines and teams to ensure our content strategy is aligned with key stakeholders.Manages the implementation and maintenance of knowledge management systems, including content repositories, databases, and collaboration tools.Establishes and maintains standardization of content management.Partners with the Director of Communications to develop and deliver communications deliverables.Analyzes content performance metrics and user feedback to optimize and improve content strategy continually.Develops and implements a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the overall continent marketing goals.Defines and maintains the information architecture of content repositories.Establishes content governance policies and procedures to maintain consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.Creates visually appealing graphics, illustrations, and other design elements for digital and print materials.Ensures all design assets align with brand guidelines.Develops multimedia content such as videos, animations, and interactive graphics.Monitors and analyzes content performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of content strategies.Modernizes and updates MGS page for US/Canada; consolidates SharePoint reference sites.Managing Work, Projects, and Policies:Manages and implements work and projects as assigned.Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Provides timely, accurate, and detailed status reports as requested.Demonstrating and Applying Discipline Knowledge:Provides technical expertise and support to persons inside and outside of the department.Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to job.Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders:Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.Collaborates with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies.Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.Additional Responsibilities:Provides information to supervisors and co-workers in a timely manner.Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.Informs and/or updates leaders on relevant information in a timely manner.Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organized manner.Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.Salary Information:The salary range for this position varies by location.
