The Chief Marketing Officer leads all efforts to sell tickets and establish the theatre’s image and positioning in the market, including brand awareness. The role is crucial to building the image of the Auditorium as the destination for world-class, diverse entertainment in Chicago.Position Responsibilities:Planning, implementing, and overseeing all marketing and advertising campaigns with the consistent objective of audience growth.Leading sales and public relations efforts to align objectives of exposing our entertainment offerings to the broadest audience possible.Developing and supporting the in-house marketing team, including all media efforts and initiatives.Building a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals to implement as needed.Conducting market research and staying current on all colleague theatre efforts and positioning in the market.Implementing the brand guide to clearly position the Auditorium as the leader in the market with the greatest variety and diversity of entertainment of any theater in Chicago.Contributing to new programming and calendar growth initiatives.Excellent budget management and reconciling skills.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.8 years of proven experience in a marketing manager or business development role.Excellent analytical and leadership skills; nurturing and developing all direct reports.Creative and entrepreneurial spirit.Exceptional knowledge of marketing techniques and platforms.Years of Experience Required:

Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress. Travel within the local or regional setting is required for site visits.
