Title- Senior Designer- Young Contemporary, knits and LoungewearLocation: New York, NY- HybridSalary $90,000- $110,000Our client, a well-established young contemporary knitwear Brand is searching for a Senior Designer for immediate hire. Must have a junior/Girls aesthetic designing knits and loungewear. Develop and create vision for new product line assortments collaborating with the cross functional team. Strong cad a graphic experience is a plus. Lead the team with design concept and product assortments.Responsibilities:Manage the design and development for knits and loungewear.Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placementDevelop design strategies and execution for knit, loungewear, and graphics.Involved in all product development and sales meeting projecting future fabricationsEvaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.Develop time and action calendars for programsPrepare trend boards for management meetingsDaily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details, and costingManage product integrity and order specifications compliance.Approve lab dips, new fabric developments and the general flow of the processQualifications5 plus years of experience in apparel production and developmentKnowledge and understanding of knit fabricsProficiency in illustrator and PhotoshopProblem-solving abilities meeting deadlines.Microsoft Office ProgramsBA Degree
