Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Integrated Communications, the Senior Specialist for Social Media is responsible for developing and managing PCORI's social media presence to amplify PCORI's work and thought leadership, deepen engagement and increase brand awareness. The role involves developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies, creating accurate and compelling content, developing and implementing social media campaigns, managing multiple social media channels and fostering engagement. Additionally, the specialist will create and maintain visual assets and analyze data to measure campaign effectiveness and shape future strategies. This position requires a blend of creative, strategic and analytical skills to effectively promote PCORI's work and impact across digital platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

*Collaborate with colleagues to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy. This strategy will aim to promote PCORI's funding opportunities, disseminate funded research results, enhance stakeholder engagement and increase visibility of PCORI news, events and offerings, across various social media platforms.

*Develop and implement strategies to foster community engagement on PCORI's social media platforms.

*Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to include PCORI Ambassadors and Advisory Panel Members to advance outreach and communication goals.

*Produce and disseminate compelling content daily across all PCORI social media channels.

*Collaborate with the design team to create visually impactful, on brand, social media assets.

*Conduct daily social media monitoring and regular reporting on relevant mentions of PCORI.

*Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar.

*Generate in-depth monthly analytics reports and use insights to inform and refine social media strategies. Compile and report on month-over-month and year-over-year data to inform strategy.

*Provide strategy and daily support for PCORI executive leadership's social media presence.

*Identify and manage appropriate online advertising opportunities.

*Create, manage, optimize and report on paid social media campaigns. Manage paid social expenses.

*Create and maintain social media documentation.

*Plan and execute live social media events, providing post-event results and effectiveness reports.

*Stay current on industry trends, best practices and emerging platforms. Provide internal social media thought leadership.

*Stay informed about changes in platform algorithms and adjust strategies accordingly. Monitor and assess changes to existing platforms or newly emerging platforms and provide recommendations.

Required Skills

7+ years managing organic and paid social media campaigns on Meta, X and/or LinkedIn.

7+ years managing social media brand accounts in a professional setting.

3+ years of professional experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.

5+ years of experience developing social media analytics reports.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Superior attention to detail.

Ability to perform well in a team environment, manage multiple deadline-driven projects and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Working proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Working proficiency in Hootsuite, TweetDeck, SproutSocial and/or other social media listening tools.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and requisite experience required. Specialization in communications, health, health policy or public health, digital communications and marketing or related field strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $86,317 - $107,896

The above range represents the salary or hourly pay range expected for the position; however, final offers are based on several factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may participate in PCORI-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.
