JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior User Experience Designer is a design thinker who can identify the right problems to be solved and then work on solving those problems in the right way.
This designer knows how to:
leverage qualitative and quantitative research insights to inform design decisions
use workshops to bring the right people to the table
built strong working relationships and trust with stakeholders and teammates
iterate through design solutions
design an MVP with a longer term vision in mind
Responsibilities:
Think through complex features and flows, balance user needs and business needs, and make the complex feel simple to employees
Help define and drive the future of the employee experience from when a person is newly hired through their long term engagement with the company
Consult, educate and guide partner teams on design thinking
Qualifications:
Four+ years designing for digital products and complex experiences
Self-starter who is user-focused, detailed and solutions-oriented
Significant knowledge of the fundamentals—visual design, user-centered design, design thinking, workshopping and how experiences are put together
An extreme passion for understanding the user, and a strong communicator of the user’s perspective throughout the design process
A belief that UX is more than just UI, and includes all user-centered design activities from research, concepting, flows, sitemaps, wireframes, information architecture, prototypes, and more
Working knowledge of design, storytelling and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Figma, Mural, PowerPoint and anything else needed to get the job done
A strong online portfolio that illustrates approach and process (not just end product) available for viewing. Link to work or an online portfolio is a must
Things that we value:
Curious minds and an appetite for learning
Passion for the craft
A strong point of view with a healthy dose of humility
A collaborative mindset, perseverance and a great sense of humor
A passion for User Experience
A personality that thrives in a agile, nimble and sometime abstract environment
Willingness to take risks
