The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Senior Graphic Design Team Lead to join the RS&H Graphics Design team in the Charlotte, NC office.

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Graphic Designer with a strong background in leadership, capable of guiding a small team of talented designers to achieve exceptional results. This role requires a resourceful self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced marketing environment, with the ability to maintain high accuracy and work independently. Effective communication with various business leaders and the ability to swiftly address real-time challenges are essential qualities for this role. A strong background in Graphic Design is required.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a small team of graphic designers and optimize workloads to enhance overall productivity.

Provide art direction to ensure consistency and quality across all design projects, guiding the creative vision and ensuring it aligns with client expectations and brand standards.

Design high-quality graphical elements for various marketing materials, including qualification packages, proposal layouts, multi-page report documents, printed brochures, and other collateral, ensuring they meet client restrictions and requirements.

Support presentation teams by developing concepts and layouts for presentations (via PowerPoint), presentation boards, and other leave-behind marketing materials needed for client presentations.

Customize the design layout of graphics, resumes, project schedules, matrices, process and flowchart graphics, technical illustrated maps, etc.

Evaluate technical content to ensure it satisfies RFP requirements and adheres to company brand standards.

Coordinate with internal and external printing companies and resources for the execution of final printed documents.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders, clients, marketing team members, and technical staff to understand their vision, transform complex ideas into visual graphics, and ensure client satisfaction.

Delegate tasks effectively, allocate resources appropriately, and optimize workloads to enhance overall productivity.

Communicate effectively.

Address challenges in real-time, providing creative solutions during production to ensure project deadlines are met.

Identify and implement process improvements within the production workflow.

Stay updated on industry trends, best design practices, and emerging technologies, applying relevant knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities.

Qualifications:

Have a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, 3D visualization or related field.

Minimum 10+ years experience working as a graphic designer.

Proficient in Monday.com or similar online production management tools.

Strong knowledge of the Adobe suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and CC Libraries.

Strong proficiency developing PowerPoint presentations including strong knowledge with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Experience with After Effects and Premiere is strongly preferred.

Experience with CEROS is strongly preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple graphics tasks at varying phases simultaneously.

Highly organized and self-motivated.

Able to work in a team environment and train others.

Able to self-assess and take constructive criticism.

Excellent time-management skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a progressive work environment.

Demonstrated high level of creativity in using graphics (such as photos, graphs, charts, etc.) to enhance communication, with confidence to present and brainstorm creative ideas with technical teams.

Strong writing, editing and grammar skills are essential.

Available for occasional travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Portfolio that shows professional AEC industry Graphic Design is strongly preferred.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience working as a senior Graphic Designer in the AEC industry is strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design related field.
