Packaging Graphic Designer

join their growing team! This role will be hybrid, onsite in Hazlet, NJ from Monday to Thursday, and remote on Fridays.Salary/Hourly Rate:$30/hr - $35hrPosition Overview:The Packaging Graphic Designer will primarily be focused on designing creative and harmonious packaging solutions for the core clients. You will also be responsible for production-focused tasks, including creating technical files for bulk printing and ensuring adherence to established formats, guidelines, and manuals for in-house and private-label packaging.Responsibilities of the Packaging Graphic Designer:

Design innovative packaging for various home textile categories.

Adhere to packaging guidelines for each client and brand.

Develop templates and specifications for packaging production.

Review soft and hard proofs of inserts, labels, and prototypes from overseas offices, coordinating approvals with production timelines.

Create art files for production and collaborate with the Production team to ensure accuracy.

Assist in the creative development of marketing collateral, such as packaging, catalogs, visual merchandising concepts, invitations, and stationery.

Contribute to the development of new brands, including logos, brand statements, packaging, and photography style guides.

Qualifications for the Packaging Graphic Designer:

5 - 10 years of experience in graphic design, with expertise in creative concepts, layout/composition, typography, brand development, and packaging.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and general functions of Excel.

Strong understanding of packaging artwork preparation, including die lines, score/folds, dimensioning, color/material specifications, and special feature call-outs.

Excellent communication skills for correspondence with factories, including proof approvals and production schedule follow-ups.

Keen attention to detail, ensuring file accuracy, consistency, and quality execution.

Ability to multitask and manage several projects at various stages of development under tight deadlines.

Capable of working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, with strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently while also seeking team support as needed.

Assist in creating and updating tech packs from development to production.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field is preferred.
