Description

Christianity Today's (CT) Vice President of Marketing guides marketing efforts across the organization, with an emphasis on membership and revenue growth, and developing a culture of innovation within the marketing team. Under your leadership, the ideal marketing culture will embrace data-informed decision making, celebrate testing new ideas and failing fast, and seek to improve the customer experience at every step of their journey. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing, and supporting a world-class team of marketers and acting as liaison to other departments.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

1. Overseeing CT's Marketing efforts, working closely with the marketing team to innovate and grow in reach, impact, and membership.

Identify key customer journeys, setting goals for each audience group, and leading effective marketing efforts to create value at every step of the customer journey.Build a culture among CT's marketing team that aims to better understand and serve the audience, establish KPIs, and improve user experience and conversion metrics across every segment of the marketing funnel (including reach, awareness, engagement, conversion, and brand advocacy).Lead weekly Marketing Strategy meetings and serve liaison to other departments to ensure the marketing team's strategy aligns with broader organizational goals and OKRs.Maintain CT's annual marketing plan and quarterly goals, communicating these priorities across the organization and to key ministry partners as needed.Meet regularly with marketing staff to define goals, celebrate successes, and invest in professional growth and development.2. Leading CT's Market Research & Brand Strategy.

Design and execute impactful quantitative and qualitative research to support marketing and communications efforts across the organization.Work closely with CT's creative director to develop marketing standards and voice within CT's official Brand Book, including a messaging house, and guide marketing efforts to meet those standards.Deliver a global POV, connecting dots and articulating actionable strategic insights that are forward-looking and consistent with CT's mission and brand identity.Offer consistent strategic consultation by building trusted partnerships with key internal stakeholders, offering a strong strategic point of view, and challenging where needed.3. Work closely with the UX & Product Strategy team to bring new products and product versions to market, including leading pricing and messaging strategies.

4. Hire, coach, and develop marketing team members with a goal of building a world-class team of marketers and brand strategists.

5. Creating and evaluating annual budgets for all marketing operations, ensuring each activity/campaign contributes to a net-positive bottom line.

6. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree required (MBA, marketing, journalism, and/or business administration preferred).Experience working directly with C-Level executives is requiredDemonstrable experience in qualitative and quantitative research, including hands-on experience in developing discussion guides, surveys, and data analysisExperience managing agencies/vendorsExperience with brand strategy (e.g., brand platforms, brand architecture, identity), positioning, campaign development, messaging, and copy testing researchStrong business acumen, including an understanding of industry trendsA global mindset informed by experience conducting international researchStrong communicator with a bias toward action to proactively collaborate across the organizationEssential Traits

CT's headquarters are located in Illinois.This is a fully remote position.This full time position has a workweek of 37.50 hours per week.This is a salaried position with an Exempt FLSA status.

Exact compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.

Salary Description

Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000
