ATA Services is currently seeking to hire an experienced Graphic Designer to work on a temporary assignment with the State of New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD). This position is remote; however, the candidate

must

live in New Mexico.

Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour with weekly payStart Date: ASAPSchedule: 15 hours per week, work may be intermittentLocation: Remote workJOB DESCRIPTION:

The contractor will design visual files such as reports, infographics, presentations, brochures, and profile sheets. Contractor will work primarily with External Affairs Division members, may interact with division directors, bureau chiefs, and program managers, and will produce work that coordinates with and complements the activities of ALTSD’s advertising agency of record. The selected candidate will suggest creative approaches, have keen attention to detail, and always maintain brand integrity.

Gather existing marketing materials and printed collateral, revise graphic material, and distribute updated digital files using new brand style guide within three months of brand launch.Design and produce graphic portions of annual reports and strategic plan.Design and produce graphic portions of presentations for Policy Advisory Committee (PAC), Legislative Finance Committee, Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Tribes/Pueblos/Nations, industry, staff, and other meetings as needed; in general, these needs represent an average of four presentations per month.Design graphic portions of flyers, posters, post cards, tri-fold brochures, invitations, digital billboards, booklets, resource guides, website, internally managed social media channels, stadium placements (i.e. digital scoreboards) and other assets necessary for outreach in a variety of venues. Timing dependent upon program needs, campaign media strategy, and other factors to be determined throughout the contract term.Coordinate and collaborate with internal ALTSD staff, outside entities and stakeholders, project-related vendors such as printers, and other contractors as necessary.Identify any gaps in graphic needs and create inventory.Support the agency’s relationship with the public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with constituents as well as internal clients and maintaining discretion in all matters.REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, or equivalent experienceFive to eight years of experience in graphic design.This is a remote position, but the applicant must live in New Mexico.Candidates must have their own computer, phone, MS Office, Creative Cloud and Canva software subscriptions.Time management skills to work on multiple projects at once and with various deadlines, especially if working in an agencyAttention to detail to ensure that all client or team specifications are met and free of any errorsCreative mindset to be able to bring a design to life with simple instructionsStrong organizational skills to keep up with various client needs or team projectsTechnical skills to work with popular graphic design programs like Creative Cloud and CanvaFlexibility to be able to switch between projects or pivot quickly should the requirements of the project change
