Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Successful, nationally syndicated daytime television talk show “The Steve Wilkos Show” is looking for an enthusiastic, focused, creative and curious candidate to serve as Associate Producer. The Associate Producer works in seamless collaboration with the Producer and Booking Production Assistant finding great stories to produce for the show.

Candidate should have great follow through, with out-of-the-box story ideation skills and possess strong pre interviewing and research skills.

An ability to be a self-starter, pitch story ideas and keep track of fast-moving production duties.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of TV experience with a talk show, news or court program, or other relevant experience (including internships) or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the internet

Desired Characteristics:

Experience booking conflict topics a plus

Experience with daytime talk shows a plus

Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television

Detail oriented

Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary

Superior organizational skills

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities:

Book compelling guests/stories to appear on the show on a weekly basis

Brief guests who will appear on the show while they are in town

Communicate with Producers about guests and production needs

Work with Production, Legal and Accounting teams in handling all paperwork regarding story

Assist Show Producer and delegate to Production Assistants as needed

Involvement in all show day procedures including but not limited to proofreading briefs, requesting Show Elements, guest wardrobe

Liaise with Production to make sure all expenditures are accounted for and pre-approved

Pitch segment ideas to Producers and Senior Staff

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 1-year professional TV experience with a talk show or news program or other relevant entertainment experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and navigating the internet

Eligibility Requirements:
