The

Sr.

Gas Marketing Representative

is responsible for the marketing of the Company's natural gas production in the Permian Basin. A successful incumbent must be able to work in a team environment to ensure timely and efficient project execution.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Secure proposals from existing and new markets for the transportation, processing and sale of the Company's natural gas.Consult with management on opportunities for contract upgrades through alternate markets or negotiations.Conduct contract and commercial review, analysis and managerial presentations for the Company's gas marketing arrangementsNegotiate commercial terms and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in successfully finalizing contractual arrangements.Oversee the timely gas pipeline connection for new production facilities.Manage commercial relationships with the Company's gas markets by ensuring the Company's compliance with contractual obligations, by generating and providing volumetric forecasts for adequate capacity planning and by coordinating communication with third parties.On an as-needed basis, perform gas nominations.Draft, redline and review new sales and purchase contracts.Actively and continuously coordinate with field personnel to timely resolve and troubleshoot gas takeaway interruptions and to ensure adherence to the Company's commercial obligations.Review gas settlement statements for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:B.S. Degree in business related field from a four-year accredited college or university required.Minimum of 10 years direct gas marketing related experience (5 years in Permian Basin).Strong understanding of the natural gas midstream industry and natural gas trading.Positive rapport amongst gas gatherers, processors and gas markets.Working knowledge of production and pipeline operations and understanding of regulatory aspects of the hydrocarbon marketing and transportation.Past experience in negotiating gas contracts.Ability to work independently in coordinating and negotiating contracts.Demonstrated competency in spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, graphics software, and research tools required.Must be able to work in a collaborative, team-based work environment.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.Successful incumbent must have self-initiative, the ability to work with little supervision, and able to work in a flexible, agile work environment is required.WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment. No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, boxes, etc. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve standing and walking for brief periods. Travel is required, approximately 15%.
