About The Role
This position will assist an Instructor in answering questions and providing support during lecturing and labs. The teacher's assistant will also help grade student assignments and take attendance.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesTake required attendance at the start and return from breaks within PopuliProctor tests and quizzes as required by the instructor syllabusTake attendanceReview and grade assignments, tests, quizzes, and evaluations as needed using institution rubrics if necessaryMaintain grading for the rubric, short answer, essay, and discussion assignments and projects inside of CanvasCheck on students who are in open labsAssists with any issues and questions from students during instructional and lab timeAssists with online moderationPreferred Experience
High School Diploma1+ years of field-related experience with relevant accredited certification or degree preferredHands-on experience with several types of digital camerasFirm grasp of lighting techniquesKnowledge of production audio equipmentFlexible scheduleJob Requirement
High School Diploma or GED1-year experience OR a diploma in a related fieldThe salary range for this role is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to physically access and navigate each department at our facility.Ideal Candidate Characteristics
