DEPARTMENT : University Marketing & Communication
CLASSIFICATION : Salaried / Full-time
REPORTS TO : Senior Director of Marketing & Communications
POSITION SUMMARY : The Marketing Specialist will facilitate the development of digital and print promotional collateral and serve as the primary coordinator of the department’s project management system. The Marketing Specialist will also serve as the liaison between the Marketing & Communications Department and internal clients to provide timely updates on project requests and coordinate approvals to advance projects to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:• Capture all information related to marketing project requests and ensure requests are funneled to appropriate team member.• Conduct first rounds of edits/enhancements to marketing projects before distribution to internal clients following the university’s established brand guide and best practices.• Facilitate the review and approval process with internal clients, including Q&A.• Submit projects for production as needed (print, order, etc.).• Oversee the department’s project management system, including the assignment of projects and weekly project intake team meeting.• Serve as an advisor to internal clients on project needs and creative concepts using established marketing best practices
QUALIFICATIONS :• Demonstrate and articulate a personal Christian faith.• Exemplify and articulate a like-mindedness with Evangel University’s Christ-centered mission, vision, and values.• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication, public relations, or related field preferred.• An eye for graphic design.• Excellent grammar, writing, and communication skills.• Exceptional attention to detail.• Ability to work independently in a highly collaborative environment.• Excellent interpersonal skills.• Responsive and proactive to identify solutions.
EXPERIENCE :• Two or more years of professional marketing/advertising experience preferred.• Working knowledge of graphic design best practices (digital and print).• Previous experience working with project management systems (i.e. Asana, etc.) preferred.
